Wait For Me To Come Home

Plot: Dan's in the army, and Phil waits for him, having no hope of him arriving safely, but he receives a surprise by his door one night.

(A/N: From now on, I'm adding songs to every one of my fics to kinda get the mood of each story, ya know? Also, thanks so much to Nassarlyann0 for the amazing prompt <3)

I'll be home soon, baby. Just wait for me.

It's been 2 years since Phil heard those words come out of Dan's mouth.

As he looks at his lockscreen, which is a photo of them together in Berlin, he smiles sadly to himself.

He looks at the letters sent from Dan while cuddled up with Dan's bedsheets. Phil misses him so much, he wants to cry so badly.

Phil's losing hope.

What if Dan's not alive?

What if he got sh-shot?

What if...he...d-died?

So many questions took over his mind that he didn't even hear the sound of the apartment door unlocking.

"Phil? Babe?"

The latter went downstairs to see Dan, clad in his uniform, alive.

"D-Dan...I missed you. I missed you so much!" Phil exclaimed, jumping on top of him, clinging onto him like a koala. Dan felt legs wrap around his waist and the wetness of tears on his chest.

"I missed you too, Phil. I love you."

Phil cried harder once he heard those words. He missed the warmth and comfort in his boyfriend, and now that he's here, it feels like he's in heaven.

On the couch in the lounge, they held each other as if the world was going to end any second.

"Dan?"

Dan smiled down at his precious boyfriend. "Yeah, love?"

"I...you mean so much to me. I never tell you this, and I just wanted to appreciate you more."

"Aww, babe. You mean a lot to me too. You always show how much you care, you don't have to say that." Dan replied, pulling him just that bit closer with his strong arms. Phil felt his heart flutter inside, and snuggled deeper into Dan's chest.

Wait for me to come home.
