Child's Play

Plot: Dan and Phil adopt a child, but the child seems to like Dan more even though Phil was more excited than Dan was, so Phil gets really upset about it.

(A/N: Hey guys! I'm finally done with the school year so I decided to catch up on everyone's prompts since I didn't get to before Thank you to cryphil for this amazing prompt, sorry it took long! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this story!)

The apartment was filled with the loud giggling of Susan, a new addition to the "family" that Dan and Phil formed together. Phil begged Dan to adopt a child, and it took a while for him to convince him, but the younger man gave in after months of Phil blabbing about it.

Dan was making funny faces, making the little girl let out an infectious giggle. Phil did the same thing, but Susan clung onto Dan instead, demanding him to pull more funny faces, which made Phil sigh and go back to scrolling Twitter. The latter frowned at how sad his boyfriend looked, and wrapped an arm around his waist, gently rubbing the area to comfort him. 

"Suzy, give Papa a hug!" Dan said softly to the girl with blonde locks. Susan hugged Dan instead, which made Phil feel more bad. "No, not me, him." Dan said quickly, pointing at his husband. Susan wrapped her little arms around Phil, instantly brightening his day and he hugged back. It didn't last long, however. 

Oh, how I wish I spent more time with her. She likes Dan better, after all it is Daniel Howell. But I've always dreamed of having a child, which came true, but...agh...forget it.

The next day, Dan was busy filming a video, which he soon had to edit and post. This made him very busy, leaving Susan in Phil's care. The black haired man was ecstatic to finally spend time with his child. 

He went to the shoppes that were walking distance from their abode. Phil bought the blonde girl a lollipop and a stuffed unicorn, which made her very delighted. She smiled her crooked grin at her papa, and that was all it took for him to feel contented. They played arcade games, went walking around some more, and then finally at the park to play with the swings.

"Weee! This is so fun! Thank woo, Papa! I wuv you!" Susan exclaimed, running around screaming. She went from one place to another, one second on the swings, the next on the big slides. Once she was tired, they walked back, and she told Dan all about her day immediately. Phil was happy that she had fun, but all he's ever wanted was to be loved by his child as much as she loves his husband.

"We pwayed on swings, I went on the swides, and I got this woonicown!" Susan said excitedly to Dan. Dan smiled, and it faltered quickly once he was aware of how Phil was feeling lately. "Babe! Come here for a sec!" 

Once Phil stepped into the room, Dan patted Suzy on the head and told her to go play with her toys in the lounge. When Susan was out of the room, a pair of hands were placed delicately on Phil's soft cheeks, and a kiss was placed on his forehead. 

"I knew how you've been feeling, baby. I, uh, actually have a little surprise for you. And I wasn't alone with setting this up." He lead Phil to the kitchen, which was filled with the aroma of delicious food. 

"Me and Suzy decided to surprise you. I mean, she really does love you, look at what she drew on the cake!" It was a picture of her, Dan, and Phil, their names written sloppily in icing. There was a heart around Phil. His heart fluttered with joy, and he was about to cry. Suzy wrapped her little arms around her papa's neck.

"T-Thank you guys!" Phil said, his voice cracking. The trio pulled each other closer for a group hug.

"We wuv you papa! Daddy loves you too!" Suzy said. She then dragged her dads to the dinner table, as she couldn't wait to eat.

And they all ate together, joy radiating from one another.

(A/N: I kinda rushed on this story, sorry!! :( I am at the end of middle school at the moment. I know I am very young, oof. You all probably don't see me the same yikes. I have 4 quizzes to study for and I am trying to keep up my writing and other hobbies too. Anyways, I definitely will write a better ending for my stories and ACTUALLY plan it out so it turns out amazing.
