Plot: Phil visits his old town with his husband, Dan, and thinks about all the memories they've had together.

(A/N: When I hear Castle on the Hill, I always imagine my OTPs walking around their old town together and thinking about what they've gone through and everything. This is kinda angsty, so brace yourself. I hope you enjoy! Love you!)

When I was six years old I broke my leg

Phil remembers that time where he climbed trees at the park nearby his house. He's never climbed trees again once he broke his leg. He did, however, liked the attention he garnered from all the kids at school signing his cast.

I was running from my brother and his friends

Whenever Martyn's friends came over, they'd always chase Phil around. The ginger haired boy began to run out of breath the more he ran, he was out of shape.

And tasted the sweet perfume of the mountain grass I rolled down

He and his mother always went down hills and slid down on cardboard boxes, calling it "sledding in the summer". The scent of the fresh grass was so strong and so fragrant, he could taste it.

I was younger then

Take me back to when

Walking through the fields made the black haired man feel nostalgic. He smiled and squeezed his husband's hand.

I found my heart and broke it here

Phil's first girlfriend wasn't the daintiest. He treated her like a princess, whilst he was treated like dirt. It was weird how they were dating, but Phil's girlfriend always ran away when she was being pulled into a kiss. The only time they spent together was shopping, and only for her. In the end, Phil accepted that he was being used by her and that he will find his true love later on, which he succeeded in doing.

Made friends and lost them through the years

The ginger haired boy was surrounded by a ton of kids at school who weren't that nice and who weren't that smart either. He was friends with them, and his parents were lucky that their personalities didn't rub off of their youngest son.

And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long

I know I've grown

But I can't wait to go home

Phil couldn't wait until the moment he went from the bustling city where he and his husband reside, to the calm and refreshing countryside where he grew up with him.

I'm on my way

Driving at 90 down those country lanes

Singing to "Tiny Dancer"

Elton John's song "Tiny Dancer" gave Phil a nostalgic feeling. It was his grandpa's favourite song, and every time he went to the kitchen, his grandpa'd always be there, flipping pancakes and listening to it on the radio. Now, whenever Phil hears this song, he thinks about those moments and smiles.

And I miss the way

You make me feel

And it's real

Phil always feels safe whenever he goes home. He knows every place and person in the town, and their feelings of joy are passed on to him. The black haired man feels sad whenever he has to go back to the city, but immediately is happy again when he knows that he is always welcome to travel there again.
