I used to have a load of fiddle toys like: squishy balls, ball of string, play doh etc. I used to bring them to school because I got urges during class but it's so embarrassing when I pull in class and people often comment.However at school people used to always take my toys, like this:
*at school*
Me: *gets an urge to pull but plays with fiddle toy instead*
Student: "Aw cool, can I see that?"
Me: "Uh...."
Student: "Like two seconds i'll be really quick!"
Me: *hands over toy*
I would then never get it back because people would just start messing around with it. Over time I have found out better ways to help an urge at school via fiddle toys. Hair ties, blue tack, string, buttons and staples are all the things I use in class because they are small and not very interesting so no one takes any notice of them. I have a problem with being bored of fiddle toys too, so finding random things to play with from my pencil case helps with my short attention span.
