I remember when drifting off to sleep was an easy transition, and when I woke up I felt fresh from a good night's sleep. Now, sleeping properly is so difficult to accomplish. I'm tired throughout the day but the moment my head hit's my pillow, i'm wide awake. I read an article the other day on sleep which I found quite interesting. It had a list of some ways to get a better night's sleep, like: 

1) Make sure you exercise regularly

2) Don't go on any electronics before going to bed

3) Have a warm bath or shower to help relax before bed

4) Have a warm drink before bed

5) Try going to bed earlier than usual 

6) Make sure you're comfortable when going to sleep

7) Read a book before going to sleep

8) Listen to soft soothing music

9) Make sure your bedroom is completely dark

10) If you wake up in the night, get up and have a drink or read a book rather than tossing and turning in bed
