Promise Pt.2

Maya's POV

"So Maya? What's you answer."
Josh asked staring at me with his bright blue eyes.

I didn't know what to say. I mean I love josh a lot but this is just I don't know. He just proposed to me a couple of days. And now he's giving me a promise ring. That's like first base in getting an engagement ring.

What if we break up and he breaks all of his promises. I really don't want to say yes but I sure as hell don't want to say no  

I couldn't even speak so how was I suppose to give him any type of answer. I looked around at all the people staring at us.

If I said no josh would be embarrassed if I ran josh would still be embarrassed except this embarrassed would be like your wife just ran from the alter.

"Josh-I"

"Maya please....it's just a promise ring. A promise to love you. A promise to never hurt you. A promise to make sure your always happy. A promise to do whatever and anything to protect you..."
Josh said taking my hand.

"Yes..I accept your promise.."
I didn't really know what I was saying. I don't even think I meant to say yes. It just came out. Naturally...like it's what I wanted.

Before I could take anything back josh slipped on the ring and wrapped his arms around me.
"You scared me there..."
He whispered in my ear.

I smiled a little fake smile as he put me down and we were greeted with the cheers and applause of the spectators.

Also the applause of Lucas farkle riley and stiles. Which only meant one thing.

The Beyoncé song. The blue tie. The corsage. The restaurant the dancing. Riley planned this whole thing.

I didn't know wether to be thankful or upset that she planned this.

"Umm..I need to go talk to Riley...okay?"
I said staring at Riley.

"Uhh...yeah... I'll be at our table."
He said pointing to where we were sitting where stiles Lucas and farkle had already taken there seats.

I walked over to Riley and grabbed her hand to pull her to the bathroom I pulled her into the biggest stall and locked the door.

"Wow...this bathroom is nice."
She said looking around the stall.

"Riley what the hell....why didn't you tell me josh was gonna give me a promise ring?"
I asked

"It was a surprise....duh.."
She said smiling.

"I don't want this....or maybe I do I don't know..."

"Well you seemed like you wanted it since you said yes..."
Riley says looking confused.

"I didn't mean to...or I don't know...the words came out naturally..."

"Then Maya I'm sorry to tell you this but you want this...rather you want to accept it or not."

"But what if things mess up. Then what?"
