Maya's POV
I kissed josh. And then I ran

Why did I run? Am I afraid to like josh again?

I shouldn't have agreed to go to Riley's I should have just kept on napping

Why am I freaking out so much it was just a dare we kissed because of a dare I don't like josh and josh sure ass hell doesn't like me

He would never date me I'm maya the broken rebel girl who could never be loved by anyone

That's how it's always been I only ever have Riley who loves me

I don't think I can talk to josh anymore I mean not with what happened I'm just going to avoid him tomorrow until the plan to destroy Bradley starts

Next day school time

I walk into the school to see josh standing next to stiles and Riley

I started walking towards them.  I can do this just don't talk to josh.

"Uh maya can I talk to you?"
Josh grabbed my arm

I wanna do the exact opposite of talking to you right now

"Uh actually I have to like do something before class that's like really really important but we can totally talk like later or something."

"Yeah...or something."

He let go of my arm and walked off I couldn't tell if he was sad or upset but it didn't matter I got out of talking to him

"Uh I gotta go and make sure he doesn't oh i don't know kill...someone."
Stiles said and then he ran off to chase josh

"Maya? Are you and josh okay."

"No Riley we kissed and it was the biggest mistake of my life."

"What why? You used to be head over heels...or sneakers for josh what happened."

"I got over him and dated Bradley then got my heart broken and now I don't want to date anyone and I sure ass hell don't want to like anyone and I don't like josh in that way."

"Are you sure about that maya?"

No I'm lying to protect her of course I like him he's all I ever think about even when I was with Bradley sometimes my mind would drift off to him

"No but josh and I can never happened and that kiss was a mistake because..."
I was cut off by Riley

"Because what maya? Because your afraid to fall for someone who might have feelings for you or because you don't think you deserve to be loved?"

"Riley it doesn't matter it's not gonna happen even if I like josh he doesn't like me."

I walked off toward my first period which is with josh but when I got there he wasn't there neither was stiles

It was probably a good thing but I kinda wanted him to be here with me.

I started looking down and drifting off into my imagination.

"Josh stiles so glad you could make it."
I looked up to see josh he looked like he had been in a fight but with who.
I looked over at stiles who also looked like he had been in a fight

Josh slid into the seat next to me.

He looked at me but then quickly looked away.

"Sorry we're late sir. Won't happen again hopefully."

"It's okay josh stiles you didn't miss much let's continue."
