"How are you doing, Dan?" Phil asks me as we eat breakfast.
"I'm... I'm better," I say shakily. I'm still a little fazed, but I'm not crying uncontrollably like I was earlier.
"There's a start," Phil cheered, smiling. We hung out like normal, considering this was normal now. I've been having the nightmares for a while now. And Phil, my beautiful Phil, has been here for me every step of the way.
"Yeah," I reply, smiling. "Maybe do you wanna go on a date to Starbucks tonight?"
"Yeah, I'd love that!" Pill exclaimed, kissing my cheek adorably. Phil thought that this was just going to be an ordinary, regular date. Little did he know that this was going to be one of the most memorable nights of his life.
