Phils POV
//
"Phil?" I hear Dan's voice from the next room.
"Yeah?" I yell back, not really wanting the vegetables I'm sauteing to burn.
"Nevermind," Dan replies a few minutes later.
"Okay..." I mumble. A little vague; yes, but it's fine.
I finish making our food and Dan comes in for dinner.
"Hey," Dan walks over and kisses me smoothly.
I'm a little taken aback, but I melt into the kids and return in, our lips smashing together and our hands on each others' his and running through each others' hair.
"That was hot," I say once we pull away from each other.
"It was quite nice," Dan smirks. "But now it's time for food."
"I agree."
We sit down together and eat our dinner, sharing jokes and talking about everything and nothing.
"Phil?"
"What's up?"
"I feel like no one's ever told you that you are truly beautiful. Inside and out. You stay with me and help me, you look beautiful physically, you're don't, you're everything I've ever hoped for, and you're just beautiful."
I laugh.
I didn't mean to; it just came out.
It starts off as a giggle, but quickly evolves into a full on ugly Phil laughing fit (Phil's laugh is beautiful btw this is just what Phil is thinking).
"What's so funny?" Dan looks really offended as he asks, and I can see tears in his eyes. I go and kneel by him.
"I'm sorry. I think it's just shock, Dan. Thank you for the, uh, words, I just don't think I fit under the beautiful category."
"Bullshit."
"Excuse me?"
"Bullshit"
"Dan, what're you sayi-"
"I'm saying that that's bullshit!"
"I don't understand why that's bullshit," I said, confusion laced in my voice.
"You know damn well why its bullshit," Dan spat, losing all of the romantic in his voice.
"Okay, okay. I'm sorry," I apologized, holding my hands up in defense.
"Just," Dan sighed. "I am too. I shouldn't have talked to you like that."
I didn't say anything; I just went to him and held up in a tight hug; holding on for what seemed like dear life.
"We're gonna get married," I felt Dan smile.
"Yeah," I grinned, "yeah we are."
//
Everything went by so quickly. The next day, we started actually planning; like picking out cake and tuxes and deciding who we sound invite; stuff like that.
Today, though, we were planning the invite list and what the invitations should look like.
Meanwhile, Dan's nightmares are back, and he wakes up nearly every morning with tears streaming down his pretty face.
"Okay, so do you want a small wedding or a bigger wedding?" I asked Dan. We went to Starbucks, and here we were; sat on our good old Starbucks sofa, sipping on caramel macciatos.
"I'm leaning more towards smaller, but if you want-"
"Me too. So, who to invite to our little wedding?" I tapped the pen on the paper.
"Both our families, surely. Um, PJ, Chris," Dan listed off.
"Absolutely."
We just listed off some of our closest
friends and people that we wanted there.//
"I am so proud of us. We got so much done." I beamed, kissing Dan on the lips.
Our lips moved in perfect harmony as we kissed and kissed and kissed; forgetting everything and everyone else.
"We act like we just saved the fucking Earth or something," Dan noted. I chuckled and hugged Dan once more before letting go of me.
"Pizza?" I asked Dan, picking up his Phone because I already knew the answer.
"Yeah," I replied, shrugging my shoulders.
"Okay."
I dialed and ordered -- which Dan said he appreciated -- and we watched some random horror movie that was on television.
I got the door for the pizza man- or woman I mean I dont know the gender of the person delivering our pizza- and we just cuddled and ate; just like we did in 2009; just like we did when we were dating; and just like we're doing now that we're married.
Its nearly perfect, I'd say. Nearly perfect, indeed.
