Phil and I ironically wake up at about the same time.

"Good morning, fiancee," Phil said to me, smiling.

"Hi," I said, blushing. Today was the day to find me a ring.

"Today's the first day or our beautiful future, yeah?" Phil said, grinning as brilliantly as he did yesterday.

"Yes. Let's get going," I said excitedly. I'm ready to show that I'm Phil's.

"But its so comfy," Phil whined, cuddling further into the duvet.

"Phiiiiil let's gooooo," I said. Phil still didn't move. "I'll make pancakes," I said, and Phil was directly out of bed.

"Okay!" Phil exclaimed. He led the way to the kitchen, setting out all of the ingredients for pancakes and kissed me lightly on the lips. He went to the longue and pulled his phone out. He then answered the phone. His mum was on the phone. About two minutes later, he hung up.

"Can I help?" Phil asked, getting off the sofa.

"Yes," I said, starting to mix the ingredients.

"I think we should go see my parents today, then yours tomorrow," Phil said, placing his hand on mine to help stir the pancakes. I think this is a good idea.

"Yeah. So," I said, kind of nervous to ask him this but we are married, so I just ask him. "Do you want kids?"

"Absolutely," Phil responded immediately. I smiled. I'm glad.

"Me too," I said, helping him pour the pancake batter into the pan.

We finished making the pancakes in silence, just enjoying each others company.

"I love you," Phil said, smiling, taking a bite out of his pancake stack.

"I love you, too," I replied, kissing his cheek full of pancake. He blushed and laughed.

"I still can't believe that we're engaged now," Phil said, shaking his head.

"Me neither," I agreed. We continued our routine like normal, showering (not together), getting dressed, I straighten my hair, and we meet back up at the door.

"Do you think I should wear my ring?" Phil asked, admiring it on is finger.

"If you're comfortable," I shrugged my shoulders.

"I am," Phil smiled. We left our flat and walked to the diamond store closest to our flat. We spent most of our day there. My ring is a dark, almost black but not quite, silvery colour with the same three white stones as Phil's in the centre. I got fitted and my ring was ready before we left.

Phil slipped it on my left hand ring finger. Its beautiful.

"I love it," I remark, a few tears running down my face. Phil hugs me, holding me tight. We than the people that helped us and leave the shoppe. We get on the underground and arrive at Phil's mums house not too long after.

I intertwine my fingers with Phil's and walk up to the door. I'm excited to tell my now mother in law that Phil and I are engaged and getting married. Phil gets his key out and squeezes my hand.

"Ready?"
