Phil and I spent our next few weeks relaxing with each other, but now it was already mid-January. Phil's birthday is in a week at this point.
"So, Philly, what do you want to do on your birthday?" I asked him one casual afternoon.
"I don't know," he shrugged his shoulders, "but as long as I'm with you, it'll be great."
"Oh, shut up," I blushed, "but seriously. What do you have in mind?"
"I'll probably visit my family and go to lunch with them, and maybe we can invite Chris and PJ and get drinks with them," Phil suggested.
"Sounds like someone's been thinking about this, yeah?" I smiled.
"Yeah, maybe a little bit," Phil shrugged adorably.
"We should upload a gaming video today," I said after a long pause.
"That's probably a good idea," Phil agreed, nodding his head ever so slightly.
"What're we going to play?" I asked as Phil began stroking my hair lightly.
"We could..." his voice trailed off, presumably because he didn't have an idea yet. "Play..."
There was a long pause as I tried to think hard.
"Oh! I've got it! We should film another Sims video! People love those!" Phil grinned ear to ear.
"Yeah, that'll work," I shrugged my shoulders. I feel like we do a lot of them.
"Do you know what we should really do, though?" I smirked.
"What's that, Dan?" Phil asked.
"We should plan for our wedding," I suggested kind of sarcastically.
"Yeah, we should actually do that," Phil agreed.
"So, what all do we need to do?" I asked, as I had no idea how gay weddings went down. I'd say dress shopping, but there are no girls involved, so we didn't have to worry about that.
"Tuxedo shopping, finding cake or something, uh, a place to have the wedding, um, food? Yeah, yeah we need to have food and drink. I think we need to have guests, yeah? Yeah, I think so." Phil stuttered, struggling as much as I would.
"Are we going to have an after party thing? Its called... Oh god what's it called?"
"Reception," Phil piped up.
"Yeah, yeah, that."
"Sure. We can have a reception."
"Okay," I smiled kissing Phil's cheek.
"What colours should we have be our theme?" Phil asked.
"Black," I replied without hesitation.
"This is a wedding, Dan, not a funeral," Phil giggled.
"No! Have you seen those cool gothic weddings or whatever! Those are cool!" I countered.
"But I'm not gothic," Phil chimed in.
"Ugh, okay. What colours do you want?" I asked, knowing they'd be bright and different.
"Blue, green, maybe turquoise," Phil imagined.
"Okay, I have a compromise," I said.
"Go for it," Phil replied.
"We could do black, like light touches, and various shades of blue, but with pastel pinks thrown in there." I pitched.
"Sounds like a great idea," Phil nodded enthusiastically. "wait one second."
"Okay," I said as Phil got up and ran to his bedroom, returning a moment later with his laptop. He typed something on it, then returned to our conversation.
"Here. Now we can write down everything we come up with," Phil said.
"Awesome. Shall we continue?"
"We shall."
