Chapter 42: Ells' Choice

Ells' POV
"But, she's our friend..." Dimitry says to BCC-14, leaving a pause between the five of us and BCC-14.

"BCC-14, if my friends can not come with me, then I'm afraid that I can't come to meet my father." I said, making a stand for myself.

"But, Ells! It has to be just you! I have been giving specific orders not to bring them!" BCC-14 said, then instantly stopped his sentence.

"Bring who? Us?" Dimitry asked, pointing to him and the other guardians.

"Yeah. What have they done wrong to not be able to come with me?" I asked upsettingly, looking upsettingly into his different colored eyes.

"That is classified." He said, blankly. I swear, BCC-14 is giving me a really hard time, and I can't this much longer. Can't he just tell me why?!

"Could you at least tell us how you know their names? Yeah, don't think I didn't catch that, because I did." I said, a little loudly, clearing losing my patience now.

"I'm afraid that is also classified. So sorry, Ells." He said, looking at his shoes, and then back up at us.

"It's either all of us, or none of us. So, make your decision quickly, BCC-14." Astrid said, causing BCC-14 to steam up a little. Literally. Some steam started to come out of his head. But, then, it stopped, as he looked at us once more, before turning his back at us.

"Fine. Just fine. You can come. But don't makes a fool of yourselves, or else I am as good as destroyed. You guys will listen to my orders, and you will not go to places I tell you not to go. Consider yourself gone if you break these rules. Got it?" He said, as they all nodded their heads.

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot. If you leave here, you will be abandoning President Kuro, and anything else they promised you in there. You guys will never be able to come back here as an ally. You will be enemies of her, and she will not be happy. Are you ok with that?" He said, as if abandoning everything was no big deal. But, right now, I wanted to see my father. At least, if he still is alive.

Anyways, with everything that has happened recently with Wendy, and her chaos mess, I think that he is the only chance I've got to meeting the one person in my life I have been missing for so long.

"Let's do it." I said, them nodding in response.

"Then, in that case, we're off! Let's go!" He said, as we started walking into the woods.  Walking away from the Iron Lantern. On our way to a new destination. Away from the one place we thought we were safe. Away from Mrs. Kuro...

But, I had a feeling this wasn't the last time I would ever see her. I have a feeling that she will come for me.
