Chapter 68: All Around Me are Adorable Faces

"What are we waiting for?! Let's destroy this thing, before it gets any cuter!" Hunter said, as he instantly transformed, and started to form a Water Sphere.

"Hunter, no!" Simon screamed, as Hunter threw the Sphere directly at it's face.

Ells instantly hid behind Astrid, as Astrid looked at the scene before him in shock.

"Nothing's happening..." Hunter said, as he took a sigh of relief. The group's tension began to ease, finding the Distortion to be harmless.

All of a sudden, Hunter began to smile. "Aww, she's so cute! This creature couldn't possibly try to hurt us!" He said, as we ran up to it, picking it up and hugging it tightly.

"Hunter! Get your hands off of that thing!" Simon said, as he began to fail in keeping his calm personality in check.

Then, the creature started to grow and grow, until it was about 7 foot tall. It smiled, it's razor-sharp teeth being revealed to them all.

"Yes, Hunter. It couldn't possibly hurt us now..." Violet said, sarcastically.

"Astrid, you need to kill that thing before it starts trying to brutally stab us with those teeth." Dimitry said, trying not to flip out.

"W-What?! Why me?! Why not anybody else?!" Astrid said, his heart running miles inside his chest.

"Astrid, Mizu means water. Since Hunter is the Water Guardian, he helped that thing grow into its true form. Fire is about the only thing that will destroy it. You are the Fire Guardian. You are Astrid. You can do this." Ells said, looking straight into his eyes, as he stared back.

"Alright, I'll do what I can." Astrid said, transforming. Ells smiled back, as he others went and transformed as well.

"You hear that, you big fluff?! We'll show you not to mess with us!" Astrid yelled, the fire inside of him beginning to blaze.

"Oh, this is going to be fun." Dimitry said, a mischievous grin on his face.

"I'll watch your back!" Violet said, and she conjured up a wild sandstorm, sending it's monstrous winds towards the Distortion.

Although the Mizu Distortion couldn't see a thing, Dimitry could. And he knew exactly where to aim. He looked at his target, and got ready. Then, just at the right moment, his thoughts begin to swirl, and his shield popped out, slicing right through the Mizu Distortion's stomach.

The monster screeched a terrible, ear breaking screen, as it strength began to bleed out. Not with blood, but with a white and blue liquid. This caught the monster offguard, causing it to become paralyzed.

Astrid turned around, his eyes burning with rage and power. In his hands, was a sword. With a flaming red zig-zag streak in the middle of it, and a blood red grip.

Ells looked at him with bravery and fear in her eyes.

"Let's do this," Astrid said, as he grabbed Ells' hand, "Together."

Ells lips formed a warm smile, as her scythe formed in her free hand, buzzing from the warm sensation of her magic.
