No POV
"So, why can't we just transform whenever we want to? Also, why can't we stay transformed?" Hunter asks, causing Simon's eyes to glow slightly.

"Hunter, when you transform, the people that see it, don't forget it. My potions will not work against them. Your magic is far too powerful." Simon said, his voice getting louder, "So, when non-magicals see your transformations, their senses will extend. Then, all of the non-magicals will know about us, an they'll get into this big mess, and we'll put more lives in danger!" Simon said, as he stopped yelling at the group of wide-eyed guardians (and Ells).

"I... sorry... that... wasn't supposed to happen... It's hard to explain." He said, looking at the group, his eyes fading from the energy he had inside him.

"You don't need to explain. We just need to focus on the task at hand. Now, let's get some rest." Violet said, as the rest of them nodded in agreement.

"Goodnight, guys..." Ells whispered, as she flickered the light switch, wrapped herself into the blankets, and fell asleep, with the others.

???'s POV
"Alright. So, review what we have so far."

"We'll keep training them, making them stronger. And then, once you show them our side of the story. We'll show him..."

"Coal, what about–"

"Gosh, woman! I'll go first! You recruit. Your the stronger one, anyways."

"Thank you. I love you."

"Me too..."

"I'll go ahead and give her a call, so that I will have time to prepare. You know, they've certainly traveled a distance, with the time they've had."

"Don't remind me. Just go."

"Yes."

Ells' POV
My eyes opened to see nothing but pitch black.

"Simon? Astrid?" I muttered, but I heard no response. I called for them again, but, nothing. A wave of insecurity wiped through me.

I raced out of bed, slipped on my shoes, and looked to see Astrid sleeping soundly. I felt better, but not entirely. I gave Astrid a kiss on the forehead, my cheeks blazing in the dark.

I slowly opened the door. I looked left and right, but there was nobody to be found.

I slowly went to shut the door, so that I didn't wake anybody else. Then, I walked down the hallway of the hotel. Where the heck did Simon go?

I was just about to open the main door to go outside, one someone tapped on my shoulder. I jumped, when I saw who it was. The lady from the counter.

"Now, where are you running off to you so late at night? You know, it's not safe to run around in the dark alone..." She said to me, giving me this weird stare, her hand on my shoulder, as if she was trying to calm me. (Even though it wasn't very calming...)

Was she scolding me for wanting to walk outside... or... was she upset that I didn't wake up a buddy to go with me? This didn't really make much sense... so I just smiled, and responded.

"Oh, I, uhh... Was just looking for my friend, Simon. He wasn't in bed, so I thought he had gotten hurt." I said to her, as she got her hand off of my shoulder, with a smile.

"Oh! Your friends sitting right there, by the fire!" She said, walking off to the back of the counter.

Is she, like, always awake? Man, when does she ever sleep?! Does she even sleep at all? Creepy...
