Astrid's POV
Oh my gosh, I can't do this. Can't say anything either. Sweat started to drip off of the side of my face. Do I have to jump? It's such a far, far way down... My vision started to spin, as I started to slip.

I felt something on my back, and all of the bad thoughts started to come together. I'm going to die! I know it!

But then, two hands grabbed my shoulders, as I stopped falling, and was pushed over to the ground for safety.

It was Simon who saved me. Out of all people.

"Go, Violet." He said simply. There was a few moments of silence, before Violet responded.

"You are absolutely no fun, Simon." Violet said, as she dropped down as calmly as ever, landing on her feet.

"Astrid, you go next." Simon said, looking at me blankly as always.

"Umm... it's a really far way down, Simon... D-Do you think this is safe?" I asked, my legs shaking a little.

"They didn't die. Besides, there is only a 12.7% chance of you getting hurt. You're going to be fine." He said.

"I-I can't." I said, taking a step back from the hole. It felt like it was sucking me in...

"Why?"

"I j-just can't."

"You're afraid of heights, aren't you?" Simon said, as all of my worries went to a pause. My mind was left blank.

"H-How did–"

"Don't worry, I won't say anything. I have no reason too, anyways... Astrid, the only way for you to be able to save Ells is if you jump down that hole. As much as I hate to admit it, you care about her more then any of us, me included. Now, go down that hole, and show hew how much she needs you." Simon said, looking at me blankly. But, something was different... Like he cared, on the inside...

"Alright." I said, as I ran into the hole, and jumped in without thinking twice.

Simon's POV
As Astrid landed on the ground, a chuckle left my mouth. Didn't really sound much of a chuckle, though. Just a noise... Stupid voice synchronizer.

I drop to the ground, landing on my feet.

"You guys ok?" Ells asked, as we all nodded. All of a sudden, Ells' flame died out, just as I suspected.

"We're here." I said, looking around the familiar place. Right on cue, the hole above us closed, leaving us in pitch darkness.

Then, the orange lamp turned on, illuminating the mineshaft.

"What is this place?" Hunter asked, looking into the mineshaft with interest.

"This is the path to Spiral, the Chaos World..." I said, as we started walking in the mineshaft.

"The rocks are cold, like ice." I heard Dimitry say from behind me.

"They're covered with salt water, from the ocean." Hunter said. Small, we had to walk one behind another, giving us tunnel vision.

"But, how? Weren't we surrounded by the neverending forest?" Astrid asked.

"There was an ocean once. It's gone now, but you can still feel the remains from it in this cave." I said, as I walk out of the mineshaft, and into the cave.
