"Is Ells ok?" Was the first thing Astrid said when he came inside. He put all of his collected materials on the ground.
"Well, I have some good news, and also some bad news." He said to Astrid, as he looked at Ells, who had joined Violet, Dimitry, and Hunter, laughing happily along with them.
"Well, I found the problem. During the attack, that stupid which marked her. The good news is, I can heal her with potion. The bad news is, I don't have all the materials..." Simon said to Astrid.
"Wait. What do you mean, marked her? Is she ok?" Astrid asked, sitting down next to Simon.
"Let's take this outside." Simon said, as Astrid stood up, and without a word, the two left the room.

                              "So you're saying... if she doesn't... she'll..."
"Yes. That's why we need to hurry..." Simon said, as he started to walk back inside. But, something stopped him. Something told him that he wouldn't be able to trust Astrid yet.
"Look, Astrid. I know you care about Ells, but she has a big responsibility. Far bigger then anything this world, or mine, has ever seen... She just can't die... Alright?" Simon asked, trying to get through Astrid as much as possible. Besides, they were polar opposites.
"Alright. Let's try and work this out." Astrid said, as they walked back to the group.

                              Ells' POV
"You need what?" I said, as we walked out of the building. We had waited in there, until Hunter had healed up completely, which took about two hours.
"How the heck are we supposed to get that?! Isn't that lady, like, dead?" Hunter said, freaking out like Hunter does.
"Well... Yes, and no. I don't know, exactly. Best thing to do now, is to get Ells' father as quickly as possible. And, now that we're at a time limit, I think we should begin traveling immedi-" And then, he stopped.
I wasn't exactly sure why, until I looked straight ahead. In front of us, was the big tree that we had created together. It's leaves were still that shiny green color, and the fruit looked as healthy as ever.
"How did that, out of everything here, still stand?" Dimitry asked, as he looked at the tree with a mixed look of confusion and happiness.
"Beats me." Violet said, taking a bite out of one of the tree fruits that Astrid got for us.
"It's a very beautiful tree..." Hunter said, smiling.
"If only we could take it with us..." I said, with a little grin on my face. My mother would've loved to see this...
Something made a kur-plunk noise, as it landed on the ground. Astrid and I looked around, to see something tiny and brown, like wood. I picked it up, and examined it more closely.
There was a swirling pattern in the middle, and it was almost completely round. You could feel something bumpy hidden inside.
"Oh my gosh! We need to keep moving! No more mucking around!" Simon said, as I quickly put the the woody object in my pocket.
