I woke up to soft patterns being drawn on my abdomen. I opened my eyes and smiled at Isaac who was lying down next to me, trailing his fingers up and down my chest, drawing patterns as he did so. "Morning." I said, smiling at him. He blushed and pulled my T-shirt back down. "Morning." He mumbled blushing. "You could've continued. I liked it." I said smiling at him. He chuckled and kissed my lips. "Since when are you awake?" I asked. He shrugged before wrapping his arms around me. I smiled and kissed his lips softly. "You look good in my clothes." I mumbled, smirking as he blushed. I kissed his lips before getting up. It felt nice having Isaac in my arms while I slept. It felt right. He followed me down to the kitchen. "Morning." I said as I glanced at my parents and brother. "You know you have to move your stuff up." My mother said sipping her tea. I chuckled. "We will, mum. Don't worry. Just need some time. We are gonna have a room each after all. It is a big change." I said. My father snorted. "How did you sleep Isaac?" My mum asked my boyfriend while my father glared at him. "Good." He said softly before walking quickly towards me. I chuckled. "Toast?" I asked him. He nodded. I put two pieces of bread in the toaster before opening the fridge. "Milk please." He said smiling sweetly. I smiled, more like grinned before I grabbed the milk. We sat on the stools and buttered our bread when the toaster jumped. I put two more on before biting into my piece of toast. "So what did you get for Christmas?" I asked Isaac. "A car." He grinned. I smiled. "And some other bits and bobs. Cool gifts." He smiled. "You?" I shrugged. "Nothing much. Clothes. Bathroom stuff and such." I smiled. He nodded as the toaster jumped. We finished our breakfast in a comfortable silence. We then headed upstairs, had our showers and got dressed quickly before heading back down. "Mum, we're gonna go walk outside." I told her before opening the front door. I gasped as my eyes landed on a group of vampires and wolves. "Em..." I pushed Isaac back before closing the door. "Guys. Call the soldiers. I didn't think they'd take this seriously but we have a big big problem. They're heading our way!" I yelled, taking Isaac's hand and rushing to the living room. "Oh my gosh, Nathanael!" My mother yelled. I felt so guilty. They all got up and pushed us away. I pulled Isaac upstairs and put him into my room. My brother followed and went up the next level. "Lock the door." I ordered. He nodded and locked it. I got my archery equipment before opening the window. "Wh..what are you doing?!" Isaac asked wide eyed. "I know what I'm doing. I'll explain later. Lay down on the bed." I told him. He did as I told him. He looked so scared. I placed myself correctly before targeting the vampires first. I shot one in the heart, killing him immediately. Then I shot one in the arm which was what my father needed to give him time. Soon, other wolves from our pack joined them, in their human form. I could see my brother shooting them and I smiled. I shot some wolves after, making them fall as I did so. I jumped slightly when I heard banging on the door. Shit. I got up and looked at Isaac to see he had covered himself with the covers. "Stay there Isaac." I whispered before unlocking the door to have a wolf lung at me. I felt my wolf out slightly and frowned at him. I pushed him away before scratching him wherever I could, and I got a few scratches coming from him a few times. I then used my fists and feet to hit him but he did the same and it wasn't enough. I lunged at him and bit down on his neck, and not the mating type, but the violent one. He cried out in pain. I growled at him before pushing him out the window. I got out of the room and started hitting another who had come. Andre soon came to join me. "AAAH!" I heard Isaac yell as I hit a vampire. I ran back upstairs to see that a vampire was just about to bite down on his neck. I grabbed a piece of wood from my desk and stabbed his heart, pushing him to the wall as I did so. "Don't you ever try to hurt him." I growled before he vanished into dust. I looked back at Isaac to see he had been scratched, thank God not by a wolf, and his clothes were slightly ripped. "Watch out!" He yelled. I turned around to have something enter my stomach. I groaned before looking down. The wolf smirked. "Don't be so happy yet." I growled before taking it out and stabbing him with it, as deep as I could. I bit down on his neck afterwards, making him suffer more. I threw him out of the window, groaning in pain. I continued fighting, as other vamps and wolves came. I could feel sweat dripping from my forehead. I was feeling weak. I punched another guy in the face before throwing him out the window. I sighed in relief when I didn't see anyone else coming my way. I dropped onto the floor, groaning in pain. "Nate!" Isaac yelled as I felt a wolf lung at me. I can't fight back anymore. I was shocked when I saw the wolf collapse next to me. I looked at my left to see Isaac, wide eyed before he dropped the lamp he was gripping onto. I threw the guy out the window, not actually caring if he would die. He was a rogue. Rogues kill for a living. And they love it. I shivered as I felt a wave of cold come my way. "Nate." He whispered crouching down next to me. "I'm ok." I whispered getting up with his help. I grabbed my sheet and tour it to make a bandage for my stomach. When I was done, I took Isaac's hand gently before taking him down the stairs. The house was a wreck. "Wait here." I whispered walking out of the house. My mother looked at me and smiled sadly. I was about to call her when I heard a gasp erupt form behind me. My eyes widened when I noticed it was Isaac. "Isaac!" I yelled glaring at him. I pushed him back into the house and into the living room. "All the bodies." He said shocked. I took a deep breath and nodded. "I know." I whispered. He glared at me. "Sit." I said. We both sat down on the settee. "Isaac." I whispered, taking his hand into mine. He pulled it away and backed away in fear. I looked down and groaned in pain. I need to hurry up. "Ok. Here it goes." I took a deep breath. "I didn't want to tell you this because I knew you'd be scared and I knew you wouldn't want me after that." I looked down, feeling pained. "I'm a wolf, Isaac." I said staring at him. His eyes widened. "Everyone around you is. The community is called the white shadow pack. We're quite big and have a few allies here and there. But we have enemies, like rogues, the wolves you saw here. They kill for a living and love it. And we also have vampires, who feed on wolf blood to stay immortal. We had signed a contract saying the forest was there's at night and ours the day. But then you ran away and so I had to fight back. It caused this. It wasn't your fault though... We were born like this. All of us. My family is the alpha generation which means that we are the leaders of our pack. My brother and I now. We lead with our mates, or are supposed to anyway. When we hit puberty, our wolf awakes and then we can start changing into a wolf. It takes exercise to do it well and without pain. We learn how to fight and some how to use archery, like my brother and I. We have a sort of small military force in our pack. Em..." I frowned. "We aren't dangerous. I assure you. We have pointy teeth and scary eyes and we growl like wild dogs but we aren't dangerous unless harm is done to those close to us. I... This is not organized, I am so sorry. I wasn't expecting to tell you now." I sighed. "Isaya was my mate and it was rare for a wolf to find their mate at 14 years old, we only start looking for them at 16. I was named Nathanael at the time and looked as weak as a worm. Then she left and I couldn't blame her. I wasn't... I decided to change my name and how I looked. I became stronger and here I am now. It's not a joke but I hoesntly wish it was. We... You are my mate and I honestly don't want you to go." I finished, softly. He just stared at me. "I want to go home." He whispered. I nodded. "Ok. Just let the doctor disinfect those cuts." He nodded. I sighed and got up to feel a huge pain in my stomach. I groaned and took a deep breath. I started walking slowly, and it wasn't long until everything around me was spinning. "Isaac." I called out before feeling my body fall to the floor. "Isa..."
