Christine P.O.V
Oh my. My marriage just ended and I'm gonna be starting a new one. I feel I can, but yet can't say that we're rushing into this! Ever since the night I kissed him I've had strong feelings for him. But I feel I can say we are because in my first day being back, for 10 years, we're engaged. I can't do this, not yet. "Actually.." I went to say to Erik.
"Yes?"
"I don't think I can do this,"
"Do what?"
"Marry you."
"What? Why not?!" He seemed infuriated.
"Well, with Raoul and I-"
"Oh, of course! Raoul. I thought you loved me!"
" Erik, I do! Please,"
"No, set the ring on the table and leave. Don't come back." I walked past him and set the ring on the table I turned my head to look at him with tears welling up in my eyes, he looked dissapointed and sad. He just stood facing away from me and looking down. I left quietly. I walked down the cold, damp pathway. I sang to myself
Is it over now, the music of the night?
I sobbed as I got to my room.
Eriks P.O.V
No one would listen,
No one but her,
Heard as the outcast hears.
Shamed into solitude,
Shunned by the multitude,
I learned to listen,
In the dark, my heart heard music.
Then, at last, a voice in the gloom,
seemed to cry 'I hear you'
I hear your fears, your torment and your tears.
She saw my lonliness, shared in my emptiness,
No one would listen, no one but her,
Heard as the outcast hears, No one would listen,
No one but her, heard as the outcast hears....
