N-no... please... I need to leave! Don't make me get attached to you... don't get attached to me! Please! ... I'll only hurt you...

As G held the girl's hand, a feeling of joy and happiness flowed through him. He hadn't felt like this in so long, it really made him worry. 'Why does she do this to me? Really now, why her and not my own family?' He wondered as he led her over to the radio.
It was a small Sony sterio, a few years old but still a great radio. He turned it on and messed with it, eventually finding a Christmas station he liked.
"And I've brought some corn for poppin'
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow let it snow let it snow~"A deep and smooth male voice sang out from the radio, making the two in the room smile.
"Now! Off to the basement to get the decorations box! Quick! Before the Grinch steals them all!" G said heroically, making Lucy giggle.
He grabbed his leather coat off the back of the couch and slipped into it before taking Lucy's hand again. "Ready to go?" He asked.
The girl was a little afraid of going out, but she decided it wouldn't hurt. She might get some scouting done. So she nodded and smiled, and allowed him to lead her out of the apartment.
As soon as they stepped out the door, the girl started shivering. "Woa, it's pretty cold out here! Should have grabbed you an extra jacket!" G said as he turned around to go back.
The girl shook her head and closed the door behind her. She would be fine, and she assured him with a smile. "Oh.. alright..." The skeleton gave her a worried look, but sighed and locked the door anyways.
Lucy was extreamly fascinated -and affraid- of a 5 floor elevator ride. She clutched onto G like a life line the whole time. The skeleton tried to reassure her that they were fine, but it didn't help. So he just stroked her hair and comforted her for the 45 seconds it took to reach the basement.
Once they were there, G led the shaky human to a hall with large cages lining one side. Lucy immediately froze up.
The skeleton looked down when she anchored him as he tried to continue. "What's wrong dove?" He asked calmly. The girl slowly let go of him and backed away.
She felt trapped and betrayed. 'Why did he bring me hear? What did I miss?! How could I let this happen? Again?!' Her mind raced as she kept backing up.
"Lucy-" G called then cringed when she backed into a box. She yellped and fell backwards into it. It was half full of old newspapers, but she was still stuck.
The skeleton rushed over to her and looked down as she struggled to free herself. "Sweetheart, I don't think your getting out that way." He chuckled lightly.
Much to her unwanted suprise, he scooped her up into his arms and held her against his chest. "Baby doll what's wrong? There's nothing down here to be affraid of. I'm here!" He tried to assure her of her safety, but she refused to hear it and struggled to escape his hold.
G felt heart broken that she didn't trust him. He then realized that he wouldn't have either. And after taking a look around he became conscious of how scary and sketchy it was down here.
"Ok... ok." He set her down but then knelt to her hight -which was almost 2 feet shorter than himself- to try and seem less intimidating. "I'm sorry, I didn't really think that this would scare you... I uh, guess I'm not ver good at this am I..." He looked down in shame.
Lucy stared down at him, wondering what he meant. 'Is he going to rape me or not?' She wondered as she looked for an escape.
"I promise you Lucy," He took her small hands gently in his own large ones, making the frightened girl look down at him again. "I promise I will never hurt you. I only brought you down to help me with a few boxes, nothing more. I promise. I know you don't really trust me, and I get that, but please. Don't be affraid of me. I will never harm you. And I never, break a promise."
The girl stared into his single yellow orb. She felt she could read his honesty, his INTEGRITY, in his eye. It made her want to trust him more, it made her feel safe with him. Her fear slowly subsided and her eyes softened.
G smiled up at her with gratefulness. He stood slowly and took her hand. "It's ok, these are storage units, not cages. We keep things in there, not people. It's ok." He said softly, leading her down the hall.
She was still apprehensive, but let him lead her. She lifted her head a bit to see, and was pleased to know that G was right. She saw small and large boxes, a few old trunks, decorations and rolled up rugs. She saw a mattress in one and a tree in another. But one made her scream and jump behind her skeleton escort.
Said skeleton laughed. "Angel, it's just a stuffed animal! See-" The girl shook her head and grounded herself. She wasn't going ANYWHERE near that thing.
G chuckled, "He's from a movie, his name is Sully, he's actually a monster, like me." He said soothingly, trying to comfort her. She just kept shaking her head.
The skeleton sighed and picked her up, setting her on his hip as he walked past the stuffed toy sitting on a table.
"And here's mine~" He said happily after passing a few more storage units. "12 20." He said as he unlocked it. When he stepped in he sat Lucy down on a desk. "Here, sit here sweetheart while I get the boxes." He said ruffling her hair. She nodded shyly, still a bit affraid.
G turned his back to the girl and moved a couple of boxes. "Thanksgiving! Just brought that down the otherday... Halloween no... New Years not yet... Photos no... old notebooks heh heh no... 4th of July nope... wow, Easter? Not mine and no~. Um, here! Christmas~!" He stood holding a brightly decorated box and grinned. He sat the box next to Lucy. "There should be two others..." He smiled at her before returning.
He pulled out two other boxes. One was a bit bigger than the first, and the other was long and kinda skinny. "We can take up these two, the. I'll come back down for the tree." He said as he brought the medium sized box over.
He sat it on the floor and stood in fron to Lucy. "Ready to head back up doll and start decorating~?" He asked with a wink. The girl smiled ever so softly and nodded.
"Good." G slipped his hands under her arms and lifted her off the desk before setting her down. "Can you carry this?" he asked, holding out the smaller box for her.
She nodded and he gently placed in her arms. "Not too heavy now is it dove?" He asked. The girl smiled up at him and shook her head. The skeleton smiled back. "Good, alright let me get mine and we can get outa here~!" He patted her and chuckled lightly.
I can't believe I did it again! What have you been through? What have they done to you?
