Ingredients

Oreo Butter
•2 cups Oreo Cookie crumbs
•1/4 cup coconut oil, room temperature
Kiss Cookies
•1/2 c. Oreo butter, room temperature
•1/2 c. Shortening (NOT butter)
•1/2 c. granulated sugar
•1/2 c. brown sugar
•1 tsp. baking powder
•1/8 tsp. baking soda
•1 egg
•2 tbsp. milk
•1 tsp. vanilla
•1 3/4 c. AP flour
•1/4 c. granulated sugar, for coating
•3 doz. Cookies & Cream Hershey Kisses

Directions

For the Oreo Butter
1) Combine oreo crumbs and coconut oil in a blender or food processor (I simply used a mason jar attached to my blender base, like I did for this recipe) until smooth.
2) The coconut oil will heat while blending, so it will turn into a liquid. Let the butter rest for a few hours before using in a cookie recipe. Overnight is really best if you have the time. Don't put it in the refrigerator-- it will become solid.
3) Once the consistency is similar to peanut butter, it's ready to use! The Oreo butter will be gritty, but once incorporated into a recipe, you can't tell at all.
For the Kiss Cookies
4) In a stand mixer, beat together the oreo butter, shortening, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
5) Add the baking powder, baking soda, egg, milk and vanilla. Mix well.
Add the flour, and mix until dough forms.
6) Scoop out dough by rounded tablespoons and roll in sugar. Place dough balls on a parchment lined cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake at 350º for 10 minutes.
Immediately press a hershey kiss into the center of each cookie after baking. Let cool on the sheet.
