Saphira's POV

After making sure women and children had blankets & that they were feed. Bard told me to get some rest and had someone else keep watch. I knew the person would fall asleep and did not care for anyone, but himself. The Mirkwood guard kept watch while I slept for any orcs or wargs.

However, when I woke up the next morning he was gone. I went to find Bard and we then went to check on the century he had posted last night. "Nothing to report, nothing got past me" the man told us tiredly.

"Except an army of elves" Bard and I stated seeing my father's people. My father appeared asking who the leader was and Bard stepped forward. "We were not expecting you King Thranduil" he states.

"I heard you were in need" Father said and clicked his fingers. Wagons of food and supplies were brought forward. Bard looked at it and thanked my father for his kindness. "Your gratitude is miss place, I came to reclaim want is mine" father stated and he looked at me. "Come forward my daughter" he says and I walk forward head bowed.

"I am sorry I left you father, I only wanted to help Legolas" I tell him.

"When return home you will be grounded until you learn everything about ruling our Realm. I will deal with Legolas when he returns. But now come daughter we prepare for battle to reclaim want is rightfully ours" he states holding a hand out to me.

I took it and he pulled me onto his elk behind him. "Must you kill them? Would you really go to war over a few gems?" Bard asks my father.

"Our heirlooms are not easily forsaken" father tells him. "They mean a lot to me as do all heirlooms of our kin" he states.

"Allow me to talk to Thorin, give him a chance to honour his word" Bard tells father.

"You would try and reason with the dwarf?" Father asks.

"To avoid war, yes" Bard says firmly and I nod my head in agreement.

"Please father give him a chance, after all Thorin saved my life once and his company brought me back to you & Legolas" I say.

"Very well, go talk to the dwarf I must talk to my daughter any way" he states and Bard leaves to get his horse. Father guided the elk to a near by tent before dismounting and helping me off the elk. He tied it to a post and then gestured I follow him inside the tent. I do so and he went to sit on a small throne as I stood before him.

"Tell me everything that has happened since you left our realm" he states. I nod my head and told him how I followed Legolas in his search for Tauriel. How we all met up and then continued to hunt the orcs. How we reached lake town to find them attacking Bard's house where his children and four dwarves were.

Then I told him how Legolas went to continue hunting the orcs alone. Leaving Tauriel to protect me as I healed one of the dwarves wounds. "That is when the dragon arrived, Tauriel and I got everyone out of the house. Then into a boat and started to row to the shore as the Smaug started destroying the town. Bard was in the watch tower trying to kill the dragon when his son jumped out of the boat. I followed him telling Tauriel to protect the others" I explain.

An elf guard came in with some refreshments and I got some food to eat as I hadn't had breakfast yet. While I had a glass of water, Father had a glass of his wine. After eating I decided to continue on with the story. "When his son showed me the black arrow, I came up with a plan to distract Smaug" I state.

"Why would do something so reckless? You could have died" Father told me sternly.

"I know father, but I wanted Smaug dead before he could hurt anyone else. And I wasn't planning on getting caught. But things didn't exactly go according to plan" I tell him. Father raised an eyebrow wanting me to explain. "Smaug caught me from behind when I thought I had lost him. He did something to me, I don't know want it was. But he said something before I passed out" I explain.

"Want did he say Saphira?" Father asks putting his glass of wine down.

"He wanted to hurt you and he knew taking me away from you after we had finally met would do that. But he did not kill like I thought he would, he breathed on me and a light emitted from me. I grew faint and passed out as he said 'I have made you part dragon, when I kill this archer and you turn in a weeks time. We will mate, it is time I had off spring' he said I wouldn't have a choice in the matter" I finish not looking him in the eye.

"Am I going to turn into a monster?" I ask him as I started to tear up. My father stepped towards me and pulled me into a hug as I cried silently. "I don't want to hurt you, Legolas or our people" I tell him.

"And you won't my daughter as you are pure" Father tells me. "Tomorrow we will go to Rivendell and seek help from Lord Elrond. He can help you control the dragon inside you" he explains. "Now dry your tears my daughter someone approaches" he tells me wiping my tears.

I nod my head and do as he told me. That is when Bard entered the tent looking disheartened. I knew that Thorin had not honoured his word and we would attack soon.
