Missing Ponies and Trolls

Saphira's POV

We had stopped for the night while Fili and Kili looked after the ponies and Bella. Gandalf went to look ahead and make sure our path is clear. The food was ready and Bilbo went to go give Fili & Kili their bowls. I had already eaten and went to go check on Bella. But I saw no sign of Fili, Kili or Bilbo. Also some of the ponies were missing, at least Bella was ok even though she looked scared.

Just then Fili and Kili appeared with their food bowls, but no Bilbo. "Where's Bilbo and the four missing ponies?" I ask them sternly crossing my arms. I saw trees had been pulled up and knew something big had taken the four ponies.

"Well we followed the tracks when we released the ponies were missing and Bilbo came along" Fili told me. "We then sent him to release the ponies whilst we came back here to get you and the others" he finished.

"You forgot to mention the three trolls guarding the ponies" Kili tells his older brother quietly. But I heard it due to my good elf hearing and I was getting angry. "i think she heard me" Kili said looking nervous.

"You mean to tell me you left Bilbo alone against three trolls" I said accusingly.

"When you put it that way it sounds horrible" Fili said mumbling.

"That's because it is!" I practically yelled at him. "I am going after Bilbo and you two are getting the others. Then you all come help me save Bilbo, the ponies and kill those trolls" I told them. I made sure I had my bow and arrows before following the tracks.

When I reached a clearing where there was a light coming form the trolls fire. I saw them trying to grab Bilbo and four ponies stack in a pan. I loaded my bow and shot an arrow at the smaller troll as it reached for Bilbo's legs. "You won't touch him" I declare stepping into the light another arrow ready.

Just then the others arrived and we all started fighting the trolls. I saw Bilbo cutting the rope as he freed the ponies. But I was then grabbed by to of the trolls and they grabbed my arms & legs. "Put your weapons down or we disarm her" the biggest troll told the dwarves. Even though I shook my head they still put down their weapons.

We were placed in sacks while some of the dwarves were tied to a pole roasting over the fire. I tried reaching my knife in my boot while the others tried freeing themselves. The trolls were arguing about what seasoning to use and that they didn't want to turn to stone when the sun rose.

"Wait" Bilbo said hopping up in his sack and he hoped over to them. "You'll need more then sage to makes this lot taste good. I mean come on have you smelt them" Bilbo tells the trolls and I giggle knowing want he was doing. The dwarves didn't and were yelling insults at him while wiggling more. Which was making it impossible to get my knife.

"There is a secret for cooking dwarf" I say aloud so that the trolls could here.

"Yes there is and it's to..." Bilbo said thinking to himself.

"What's the secret?" the smallest troll asks us.

"To skin them first" Bilbo told him and I nodded my head. The dwarves now started to insult me as well as Bilbo. But I saw Gandalf sneaking around in the bushes as the sun started to raise. The biggest troll disagreed and was about to eat Bombur.

"Wait you don't want to do that his diseased" I tell the troll. Who dropped Bombur who landed on one of his companions.

"In fact they all have worms in there tubes, you know huge parasites" Bilbo states.

"That is not true we do not have para..." Kili started to say until his uncle Thorin kicked. Finally someone has caught on to want Bilbo and I were doing. One the dwarves said he had parasites as big as his arm. While Kili said " I have the biggest parasites you've ever seen."

"Fine then we'll eat the elf she looks clean and healthy" one of the trolls states going to pick me up.

"You will not" Gandalf said as he stood on a boulder that was blocking the sunlight.

"Whose that? Can we eat him to?" the smallest troll asked.

"The dawn will take you" Gandalf said and broke the boulder in half with his staff. As soon as the sunlight hit the trolls, they started turning to stone.

"Took you long enough Gandalf" I say as I finally reach my knife and cut myself loose. Gandalf and I helped the others out the sacks & off the pole. The dwarves then took back their weapons and I took back mine. Gandalf said there must be a cave near by as trolls can't travel during daylight. So we went to search for it.
