Perfect Day

Nothing could be more serene

Laying on this blanket of green

Staring at an upside-down ocean

Cotton candy clouds always in motion

An absent smile on my lips

As I glance at my fingertips

They dance with an unseen song

There's nothing to do but sing along!

A wind flirts with my black hair

A laugh I can't help fills the air

I start to twirl my arms open wide

I start to dance; the Electric Slide

Something inside me breaks free

There's some sort of change in me

I laugh, I dance, I end with a sigh

Land on my back and stare at the sky

Little diamonds appear with the moon

After a January Afternoon

A shooting star lights up my vision

I wish upon it with indicision

Why would I wish for more

When everything I need is at my door?

Why would I wish for luck

When my life doesn't even suck?

Why would I want to change

When I'm already crazy and derranged?

This day is something we all need

To let our souls be freed

To rid ourselves of pain in everyway

To have ourselves a crazy, perfect day.
