The day was slow and tiring like usual. All I could think about was possibly talking to Collins again. Whether or not he likes me, I know for sure that I really like him. And I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan. I think there might actually be something to all of this. What am I talking about? One conversation, and I'm supposed to assume that he's into me? I wouldn't believe that even if it was my neighbor. It was nothing more than a simple conversation between fan and celebrity, idol, whatever. He'll probably forget about it in a few days.

The ride back home was full of snark remarks from my friends. They continued to tease and ask me if I was going to keep talking to him. I wasn't sure. On one hand it would be nice but on the other , he talks to fans every day . Most of them are much prettier and have way more of a chance than some chick from the Bronx.

Once I got home, I had planned to do homework for once. But I could see my laptop in the corner. I heard it calling my name. So, as I usually do, I grabbed it, flipped it open, and took to Twitter. You can bet I was stuck in procrastination station. I stood there for an hour just scrolling, until, I had the urge to look at my DMs. I have a habit of looking at old conversations, especially if I liked the conversation. And that's exactly what I did. I'm not a creep or anything. That's just how I am. Moving on, I looked at the conversation that I had with Collins the night before. I began to question all of the events of that day. I couldn't help but reflect on the words "You stood out". I never saw myself that way. I mean, I'm obviously different, but not in a way that's usually compelling to anyone.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. It was my little brother.

"Em, dinner's ready"

"Tell her I'll serve myself. I'm busy"

He walks back and gives Mom the message.

"Tell her to get over here." She sounded annoyed.

"I heard you." I reluctantly slid off my bed and walked to the kitchen.

"Thanks." I said as she handed me the plate.

"Mhmm How's the homework coming along?"

"I'm almost done." By that I obviously meant that I haven't even looked at it.

"Okay" she says, and I returned to my room.

I decided to actually open a book and attempt to get something done. I found math to be pretty easy so I grabbed Geometry first. I hate that class more than anything. I love math but, my teacher is just so annoying. He doesn't even answer anyone's questions. If you're lost, you're screwed. That's the primary reason why everyone likes to turn to me instead of the actual teacher for help. Anyway, I found a pencil and my calculator and got to work. I stopped occasionally to look at my time line. I was on a roll when I saw a little blue number pop up at the corner of my computer screen. I clicked on it to see who it was.

C: Hey what's up?

Being the fangirl that I am I put my work on hold to continue the conversation.

E: uh..heyy wasn't expecting to talk to you again

C: huh?

E: i may or may not have thought that last night's event was a one time deal.

C: why say that?

E: idk maybe cuz you're mr. big shot and i'm just some random chick on the internet

C: well you're wrong...so whatcha doin

E: homework :(

C: no you're not

E : uhh... yeah.... i am

C: then why are you talking to me?

E: you're the one who hmu

C: true...but you responded

E: so what

C: so i'm guessing you just couldn't stay away ;)

E: don't flatter yourself

C: well then..

E: i was bored. and i needed a distraction

C: you do realize that you just proved my point, right?

E: :P

C: hey did you get my message this morning?

E: yeah, why?

C: just wondering

E: my friends saw it too. and get this...they think that you're into me...how funny is that?

C: how is that funny?

E: idk maybe cuz something like that is so impossible that simply thinking of it is beyond far fetched

C: i wouldn't say it's impossible

E: so what would you say?

C: i gotta go...talk to you later?

E: oh okay...bye

I closed the conversation and got back to work. Unfortunately I was unable to focus on anything other than the conversation that just took place. I kept thinking back to Abigail's words. I mean, why else would he leave so abruptly? Nah, maybe he was just busy. But then again, if Abby's right, that wouldn't be so bad. Would it?
