It's been almost three days, and I haven't talked to Collins since what happened. I felt bad but I didn't know what I would say to him. Endless phone calls, text and DMs pour in as I refuse to answer. I listened to and read them all, each sweeter and more heart wrenching than the one before. I wanted to talk to Abby about it, but, at the same time, I kept thinking that it might be best if I just keep it to myself.

The school days felt ten times longer. I wasn't in the mood to talk to or hang out with anyone. Wake up.Throw on my uniform. Go to school. Go back home. Do homework. Go to sleep. Then, repeat. I didn't call or text anyone. I didn't even attempt to interact with any of my friends. I just wanted to be alone.

Abigail came up to me at lunch and dragged me to the bathroom to talk.

"Okay, what's wrong?" she asked. I could hear the concern in her voice.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I shrugged.

"Please I'm begging you. I don't like seeing you like this. You were super happy on Monday. What happened that you're so upset? Is it Magic Boy Related?"

I felt choked up,tears forming in my eyes. I nodded in response.

"I knew something was up. What's going on?"

"You can't tell anyone."

"Okay, I won't."

"Promise?"

"I swear."

I took a deep breath, and looked around to make sure there was no one else around to hear. "After he walked me home.......we kind of almost kissed."

"Almost? Why didn't you?"

"I don't know. Maybe-"

"Hold on, who made the first move?"

"He did. And then I sort of went along with it. I eventually caught myself and ended it there. We haven't talked since"

"Why?"

"I was scared okay? And to top that off, how can I be sure that he really likes me? We just met. And he's not normal, if you know what I mean. I guy like him deserves way, way better. He deserves someone who is out of this world. Someone who understands his world. Someone special. I'm not special."

"Is that why you're crying right now?"

"Yeah.....a little bit." She gave me a hug.

"Oh my god. Emy. Why would you say that? You're amazing. Why are you scared? Just go for it. The only thing stopping you is you." she said, wiping my tears.

"What's gonna happen when he leaves? You can't just start an epic romance in two weeks, Abby."

"Well, you can try. And the best way to start is by talking to him on Saturday."

"I'm not in the mood to go anymore."

"Oh no you don't. You are going whether you like it or not. And it doesn't matter if you guys pick things back up or not, you need closure, and you are gonna get it."

"UGH fine. But. I don't know what I'm going to wear or say."

"You have two days, well one really because tomorrow's Friday if I'm not mistaken. Anyway. the point is, you have time. And if that doesn't work, just say what's on your mind at that moment. As for the outfit, I'll help you out with that."

"But-"

"No. You're going.  I'll pick you up at three, that okay?"

"Yeah, that's fine."

I splashed some water on my face before we met back up with everyone else. Unfortunately, my eyes were still red and they came rushing to me when I stepped into the room.

"Oh no. Emy, have you been crying, what's going on?" Gina asked.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Is it Magic Boy?" Britney asked.

I nodded.

"What did he do? I swear if he hurt you I'm gonna-" Abby cut her off and explained what happened.

"Awwww. Emy why are you sad about that?" Gina asked.

"She's scared that she's gonna get hurt. And she doesn't think that she's enough for him. Which is complete bull."

"Guys, can we just drop this?"

"Fine." Britney replied.

"So, how do you think you think you did on that Italian test?" Gina jumped in.

"I think I did okay. I'm not saying-" my phone buzzed. It was a text "Dammit!!!!!"

"What happened?" Britney asked.

"Why won't he just leave me alone? Does he not get that I'm just not in the mood to talk?"

"Maybe it's time you did." Abby said.

"I'm not ready."

"Yes you are. You know you are. You're just scared. You can't avoid him forever." she continued.

"I can try."
