The next day, Abigail hung out with Levi. I was actually more excited for myself than I was for her. For the first time in almost three months, she won't be able to harass me about Collins. And, I get to bother her this time.
I'm not sure as to exactly what they're doing. She did tell me that they were going to Central Park.
I took advantage of this day and decided to binge watch Teen Wolf. I have an unhealthy obsession with Tyler Posey. And watching the whole second season in the afternoon fills the void.
I decided to call Collins in the middle of my binge session. I wanted to check in. And, it felt kinda weird with no one around.
I had the phone on speaker just so I could continue to watch.
"Hey what's up?" He sounded half asleep.
"Hey. You sound tired. Is this a bad time?"
"I just woke up."
"Did I wake you?"
"Kinda." he yawned.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't worry about it."
"Are you sure? I could call back later."
"It's okay. Besides I couldn't think of a better way to start my day."
"So, what'd you dream about?"
"I don't know."
"What do you mean you don't know?"
"I don't remember."
"Oh come on. Not even a small detail?"
"You do know that it's nearly impossible to remember dreams, right?"
"No it's not."
"Can you remember dreams?"
"Yes. Yes I can."
"Well then, congratulations."
"Thanks."
"So, if we're done talking about my inability to recall dreams...What's going on with you?"
"Nothing much. Abby went out and I just wanted someone to talk to."
"Abby's not with you?"
"Nope. She's on a date."
"With who?"
"This guy we met yesterday."
"So she just left you all alone?"
"Yeah. But it's o- Scott!!!"
"Scott?"
"Don't worry about it. What was I saying?"
"Who's Scott?" he sounded concerned.
"It's not important. Just let it go."
"Not until you tell me who Scott is." his tone changed completely.
"I'm watching Teen Wolf. Scott is one of the characters. Calm down."
"Oh. This is embarrassing"
"You didn't think-"
"No?"
"Don't worry. There's no Scott."
"You must think i'm an idiot."
"No." I cooed,"You're adorable."
"Slight change in subject, 18 days."
"You couldn't just wait to text me?"
"I'm still gonna do that, but I thought I'd take advantage now."
"Aww. But, why are you counting down anyway?"
"Isn't it obvious? I miss you."
"You do?"
"Uh-huh"
"I miss you too."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Cross your heart?"
I giggled, "Hope to die."
"So." he continued.
"Yeah?"
"This Scott guy, is he cuter than me?"
"You're a hot mess."
"That's a no right?"
"I promise you won't be replaced by a fictional character."
"Just wanted to make sure."
We spoke for quite some time until finally deciding to just text eachother later.
Abby chose to stop by afterwards. She got to my house around six.
"So, how'd it go?" I asked.
"It was okay."
"Okay?"
"Yeah."
"So, what happened? Was he super sweet? Did he compliment you? Is a second date in the near future?"
"Yes, yes, and yes."
"Abby has a boyfriend." I teased.
"Let's not jump ahead of ourselves."
"Whatever."
"So, what'd you do all day? Did you miss me?"
"Oh, it was terrible. I had to watch Teen Wolf by myself. There was no one making witty comments about my love life. I just couldn't bear it."
"Your sarcasm is noted."
"I'm kidding. It was a little strange though."
"Well since you mentioned my 'witty comments'-"
"Wait, let me guess. 'Did you talk to Magic Boy?' Yes. I called him. "
"So you weren't entirely alone."
"He was sleeping."
"But you still had a conversation."
"But I feel bad."
"Did he seem annoyed?"
"No. But-"
"Shut up. I'm pretty sure he needed that call as much as you did."
"Oh no, not another lecture."
"Fine, but I'm just saying."
"What ever. Now that your here, I say let's have a Netflix night."
"Sounds good. But, that means I'm staying over."
