It's been a couple of months and everything seems okay. We skyped every Wednesday just like he promised. He even threw in a few surprise calls every now and then.

It's the beginning of May, and Abby and I have just begun our countdown to finals week. We switched out movie day for study days. And only took breaks whenever she wanted to talk about you-know-who. I didn't mind...most of the time.

The other countdown that was taking place was to none other than Collins' birthday. He's gonna be 18, which is slightly depressing, because I'm 16. Which means until December of 2015, we are technically illegal. YAY!!!1!1!1!!!!111! Stupid dating laws. Not even the government wants me to be happy. Who am I kidding? The government doesn't want anyone to be happy. Anyway, his birthday is in five days, and I asked Abby to come over to help me think of something. She obviously had no problem throwing academics out the window when it came to my love-life.

"You seriously haven't thought of anything?" she asked.

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"He's your boyfriend, you have to know."

"Not my boyfriend."

"Then what is he?"

"Ummm-"

"Your lover, boy-toy, your kni-"

"We're friends."

She laughed. "Friends?"

"Yes, friends. Just friends."

" 'Just friends' don't kiss every ten seconds. 'Just friends' don't Skype once a week to constantly talk about how much they miss each other. And 'just friends' definitely don't do this. Need I say more?" She held her phone in front of my face.

"Was this-"

"Yup, the Sunday before he left. I snapped a picture before I went home."

"Seriously?"

"What? I had to capture the moment. It was super cute. Look at how he's holding on to you. You can't  possibly tell me that's not adorable."

"Aww. I have to admit. That is pretty cute."

"I know!!!" she squeaked. "Now just admit that you guys are together."

"Okay, you have a point. I mean, I guess you can say we're kinda dating." I started to blush.

"Kinda? Really?" she had one eyebrow raised.

"Abby, two weeks."

"Correction, two months."

"Video calls don't count."

"It's called long distance."

"Because that's so much better than actually seeing each other face to face."

"Hey, it's something. So, back to the original task."

"I seriously don't know what to get him."

"Who says you have to get him anything?"

"I'm sorry, what?"

"You play guitar."

"Yeah. And?"

"And you write songs."

"Yeah, songs that are pretty crappy."

"They're awesome."

"They suck."

"No they don't."

"So you're suggesting that I write him a song?"
