• the next day was a beautiful day, also. actually, it was a beautiful warm summer all together. the birds are more active in the sky, and still clouds linger; today it is not a dense layer of grey but instead a chaotic array of white puffy shapes amid the blue.
he knew he should be savouring the moment as it was important, tomorrow isn't guaranteed to anyone, not even him. neither was the weather, but he knew even the darkest days wouldn't last forever. behind the clouds the sun was always shining. and he always had his friend, brendon.
he stretches out his hands and tilts his face upward. this sun is not enough to burn and whilst it was the first lick of summer, he already felt ready for christmas.
joshua sighs to himself, as he makes his way down the busy street.
he was listening to his music, which was casted by is earphones: blackbear, one of his current favourite artists to listen to (very loudly).
his grazing moves downwards, returning to reality.
crowded streets, making him feel agitated and foreboding. tall, grey brick buildings surrounded by even more. these streets seemed to go on forever. thank god it was in the working hours.
then, finally, something catches his eyes, a small boy dressed in all black, black glasses over his eyes and short fluffy brown hair coming up ahead.
but no: it wasn't this boy that was moving, for he was sat on a chair on the outside of a cafe, his legs up on the table in front of him. he looked so still. maybe he was thinking and josh shouldn't interrupt him.
but he couldn't help stopping by to say a warm hello.
