Chapter 10

Kristy's POV

"Thank you so much for taking her. You were right I really needed that." I told Niall.

"You're welcome. I had fun playing with her. She's a calm baby." 

"I'm glad she was having a good day. She's started teething and has been a bit fussy lately." 

"I thought I saw some white in her mouth." Niall said. I nodded my head. 

"Yep my little baby is growing up so fast." 

"Well i'm happy you got some needed rest, I hope you have a better time tonight."

"Thanks......hey um I was thinking about what you asked me and I would love to go on a date with you." I told him. 

"Really, you sure?" He asked me. I let out a small laugh. 

"Yes I'm sure. I think I'm ready to start dating again." 

"Okay, how does tonight sound?" He asked me. 

"It sounds perfect." I smiled at him. 

"Great I'll pick you up at 7." 

"Can't wait." I told him then started to make my way to my grandmothers room. Once I got to her room I knocked on her door. A minute later she opened the door.

"Sorry to bother you but I was wondering if you would be willing to take care of Violet tonight." 

"I can. But why? Is something wrong?" She asked me. 

"No nothings wrong, I just......I'm going on a date." 

"Oh, I take it you said yes to King Niall." 

"Maybe." I smiled as I thought about our waiting engagement tonight.

"Okay, I'll take Violet. In fact I might just keep her for the whole night." My grandmother said playing with Violet. 

"Oh no, I don't think any of that will be happening." She raised her eyebrow at me.

"I barely know the man." 

"Okay whatever you say. What time would you like me to come pick her up?" She asked me. 

"Well Niall's coming around 7, so how about 5:30?" I suggested.

"That's fine. I'll see you then." She told me. I nodded my head then started to walk towards my room. 

"Violet, mommy's got a date." I told her once in the privacy of my own room. I let out a small squeal I then turned my attention back to Violet.

"Looks like someone needs another nap." 

~7 o'clock~

I looked at myself in the mirror one last time. I ran my hands over my dress, making sure there were no wrinkles. I heard a knock on my door and quickly went to go answer it. 

"Wow you look amazing." Niall told me. I blushed at his comment.

"Shall we?" He extended his arm for me and I gladly took it. 

"Why thank you." I smiled at him. 

"So I thought that we would have dinner in the garden." Niall told me. 

"That sounds lovely." I told him. We walked in silence to the gardens. 

"Shall we take the long way?" Niall suggested. 

"I think we shall." I agreed with him. Niall turned to the left so we could walk through the rose gardens. 

" The gardens are gorgeous at night."  

"They sure are." Niall agreed with me. 

"Look at these roses. You know white is my favorite color rose." I ran my fingers over the petals. 

"A rose for the lovely lady." Niall told me while handing me a white rose.

"Why thank you." I smiled at him, rose in hand. As we continued walking my hand slowly made its way to Niall's hand.  As we were walking we came to a table in the middle of the garden. The table was set for two. 

"This is amazing." I smiled at him. Niall pulled out my chair for me and I gladly took the seat. I mumbled a quiet thank you, then Niall sat down in his seat across from me. 

"The chef made a very special meal tonight." Niall told me as a waiter placed a plate of shrimp scampi in front of me. 

"Oh my gosh. This is my favorite meal....how did you know?" I told him shocked.

"I did my research." He smiled at him. I reached for his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. 

"Thank you this...... is wonderful." 

"I'm happy you like it." 

"Like it... I love it." I told him. 

"That makes me very happy." He smiled at me. 

"Shall we eat?" Niall suggested to me. I nodded then grabbed my fork. 

"So you know about me but I know nothing about you. What's your story?" I asked him.

"There's not much to tell."

"Well, what about Chris? I take it you had to have some type of past relationship?" 

"I did." 

"What happened?" 

"Being royalty comes with a cost. Their are those who love you and their are those who want to hurt you. And sometimes they take it out on your family." I nodded my head.

 "So what happened to her?" I asked him.

"She was kidnapped, they came in at night and took her." 

"What happened after that?" I asked him. 

"I found the guy who took her but it was to late." I nodded my head. 

"Do you miss her?" I asked him

"I did, but I know that's she's still with me." I nodded my head in understanding. 

"Now what about you? I've told you my story. I still don't know yours." 

"Right....well, honesty there isn't much to say." I told him while trying to think about what I was going to tell him.

"This is going to sound crazy but, I can't remember the last 12 years of my life." 

"Surprisingly that's not the strangest thing I've ever heard." I let out a small laugh. 

"So why'd that bring you here?" He asked me. I took a sip of my water. 

"My parents suggested visiting my grandmother. They said we went and lived with her in the states. Maybe staying with her would bring back some memories." 

"And has it?" He asked me then took a bite of his food. 

"Sort of. I went to King Harry and he believes that I could have been drugged." He nodded his head. 

"But what about your memories? Any luck with that?" He asked me.

" No." I shook my head. Niall reached over and grabbed my hand. 

"One day, you'll remember."

What is this you ask a double update? Were you don't have to wait 3 months for the next chapter. Yes, yes it is.
