Chapter 21

~Previously on Forever & Always~

"So I am stuck here.....forever?" I asked sinking to my knees.

"Looks like it." I was really starting to hate dead Niall.

"No."

"What do you mean no?" He asked me.

"No, I refuse to give up. I will wake up. I know it."

"And how do you think that's going to happen?" He asked me.

"I don't know."

Niall's POV

DREAM

"Niall.....Niall. Wake up honey." I heard the sweet voice of my mate in my ear. I opened my eyes to see Kristy shaking me awake.

"Morning sleepy head." She told me giving me a kiss.

"Morning." I told her giving her a smile.

"You're in a good mood." Kristy told me as she got off the bed. 

"Well, what can I say I have a great life. I have a wonderful mate by my side. And two beautiful children." I pulled Kristy into my arms. 

"Niall come on. We need to get ready for the day." Kristy pushed against my chest trying to get me to release her. 

"Why don't we just stay in bed all day? huh? We can get Chris to watch Violet and we can have some very important Mommy and Daddy time." I said wiggle my eyebrows at her.

"Niall stop it. You may be four hundred years old but you still act like a horny teenager." Kristy told me pulled away from me.

"Now come on. You need to wake up."

END OF DREAM 

I shot up from my sleep breathing heavy from my dream. 

"I need to wake up. I need to wake up." I kept mumbling to myself.

"Woah. What's going on here?" Ghost Niall asked me.

"I need to wake up." 

"Mate you're acting like a crazy person. If you hadn't heard that is my job." The demon told me. Trying to be funny.

"Okay, i'll bite. What happened this time?" He asked me.

"It was so real."

"What?"

"My dream it seemed so real. Well actually it was a memory. I was trying to convince Kristy to spend the day in bed but she wouldn't do it, she kept telling me to get up." I let out a small laugh remembering that day.

"So what's the problem?" Ghost Niall asked me.

"The problem? The problem is that i'm stuck in a coma while my mate is dying. I am trying to stay alive because the minute I die she will........." I stopped myself before I finished the sentence.

"She'll what?" He asked me.

"You already know what." I growled at him.

"Yeah well I need you to say it out loud. She'll what?" He pushed me more.

"If I die Kristy will die too."

Harry's POV

"Harry, Christopher is here to see you." I heard AJ tell me through the intercom.

"Send him in." I let out a heavy sigh. 

"Uh Harry, you wanted to see me." Chris said poking his head into the room.

"Have a seat Chris." I told him gesturing towards the seat in front of me.

"So how's Violet doing?" I asked him.

"She's doing good. Thankfully she's too young to fully understand what is happening. Harry as much as I enjoy small talk, why did you want to see me?" I let out another heavy sigh.

"Chris, I'm afraid I have some bad news."

"Is everything alright?" Chris asked starting to panic.

"Everything is fine for now. It's just.....well it seems that your parents aren't getting better." 

"What?" Chris asked me. 

"We have been monitoring and from what we can tell there hasn't been much progress between the two of them." I explain to him.

"But I thought mum was getting better. Didn't her heart rate spike by 20 points?" He asked confused.

"Yes it did. However, that didn't mean that she was getting better. It meant that she was showing signs of possible improvement. But we haven't seen anything else in a few days."

"Oh." Was all that Chris said leaning back into his chair.

"Niall isn't doing well either. He is currently on blood I.V that's keeping him stable for now, but he hasn't shown us any signs of improvement. We believe he only has 48 more hours." 

"So this is it then? Both my parents are good as dead." 

"Christopher, believe me this is hard for all of us to take. Because of what happened to your mother it took a real toll on your father. In truth, he hasn't been fully healthy since before Kristy was kidnapped. Mate bonds are very serious and the slightest rift can cause great damage to both parties." Christopher stayed silent. He just stared at the floor.

"Please understand Chris, I tried everything I could. I would start getting your............."

"Harry come quick.....it's Kristy."
