Chapter 77 - The Girl In Blue

We waited at the entrance of the village and soon saw Temari and Konkuro.  We all waited there in silence, waiting for Deidara and Yang.  Once Deidara and Yang showed up, Temari an Yang took the lead, followed by Deidara and Knokuro and finally Gaara and myself.  Temari and Yang were whispering things to each other and glancing back at use every once in a while.  Deidara and Konkuro would glance at each other every so often, wondering is they should start  a conversation or keep quiet.  Gaara and I were both quiet and I didn't look over at him once.  I don't think he looked at me either because I didn't have the awkward feeling of someone watching me.  We walked out of the dessert and started running in the forest.  Temari and Ynag continued whispering and everyone else was still silent.  "This is going to be one long and awkward trip" I thought.  "Lets camp here for the night" Gaara said and we all stopped.  I jumped up into a tree and leaned against the trunk.  I watched as everyone started to set up their tents and start to eat.  I looked over at Gaara, to see him sitting up in a tree off to the side and not eating.  I jumped down and jumped up onto the branch beside him.  "Did you not bring any food?" I asked.  "No" he replied.  "Well, here.  Eat this" I said holding out half of a sandwich to him.  He looked at he then the sandwich.  "No, its your food, you eat it" he said.  "Listen, you eat this half and I'll eat the other, if you're worried that I won't eat anything.  That and if you don't eat then you won't have enough strength of energy when it comes time to battle" I said.  He nodded and took the sandwich and eating.  I sat down and started to eat my half.  I slowly started to rain, with it getting heavier and heavier.  I saw everyone go into their tents to avoid getting wet.  "Byakugan" I then heard Yang yell.  "What?  Isn't that the Hyuga's Kekei Genkei?  Does that mean that we are half Hyuga and half Uchiha then?" I thought.  Yang stepped out of her tent and then looked up at us.  "Guys stay out of the rain.  This is Pein's, the leader of the Akatuski's sensory type jutsu" Yang yelled at us.  "Okay" I replied.  "You're  a Hyuga?" Gaara asked.  "Apparently.  I'm also a Uchiha too" I said.  "What?" Gaara asked a little louder.  "Shh... Remember that time that I had gotten poisoned.  Well that was the time when I had a memory of my dad telling me to use my Sharingan, that's how I was able to pin him up against the wall without hitting him once" I explained.  "Then if both of your parents are from the leaf, why were you born in the Sand?" he asked.  I shrugged my shoulder looking over at him.  "Hey, Gaara what are we supposed t do now?" Deidara asked.  "We will leave in the morning, but if its raining then you four  will leave" Gaara said.  "You guys should get some sleep" I yelled down to them.  "Okay Mom" I heard Yang yell back sarcastically.  I leaned against the trunk of the tree and closed my eyes.  "Hey Gaara?" I called to him.  "What is it?" He asked.  "I was wondering why do you still keep things bottled up.  I mean, I know that you show your actual emotions now, but I can tell that you're still hiding something.  You do trust that we'll help you, right?" I asked.  "Of course I trust you guys" He said.  "Then why not talk to us about it?" I asked.  "I don't want to talk about it" Gaara said ending our conversation.  "Good night Gaara" I said drifting off to sleep, but before I fell asleep I heard Gaara speak.  "good night.... Ying" he said and I fell asleep.
