"Yuuri, you're cutting it close. You were almost late, boy."
Yuuri flinched as his boss, Yakov, rebuked him for his near tardiness. Yuuri had always felt that Yakov held something against him but he didn't know what it was, and that ate him up inside. Yakov was always criticising him, finding faults in everything he did or said. In the end, Yuuri didn't know if that was because he was prejudiced against Japanese people or he simply didn't like him.
But if Yuuri wanted to keep his job and maintain a steady income, he simply had to deal with it. He wasn't especially skilled in anything, save for cooking, but that wouldn't do much for him. His family ran on onsen back in Japan, but it wasn't something Yuuri was ever interested in doing.
He immigrated to the U.S trying to realise his dreams, whatever they were in his immature age, and realised only that he had no true dreams.
"Ah, I-I apologise. It will not happen again, Sir," Yuuri muttered meekly, failing to meet Yakov's intense eyes.
"Damn right it won't. I refuse to be left to attend all these stupid people," a sharp young voice said from behind Yakov.
Blonde hair covered most of Yuri Plisetsky's face. His small frame only hid his fierce personality and violent tendencies. Even though the teen embodied a sort of feminine-like grace, he was harsh and cold, spitting at anyone who dared to make a move on him.
He almost killed Yuuri when he first started working at the cafe, all because he accidentally bumped into him. Yuri'd gone on an angry tirade of mixed English and Russian, telling him that he was delicate and bruised easily and Yuuri should watch himself or else he'd end up dead. All the things that naturally come from the mind of a teenage boy by the name of Yuri Plisetsky.

Yakov looked at Yuri before saying, "Yuri, silence."
"Yes, Sir."
Yakov was quiet from some time. Finally, he turned to Viktor.
"Was he nearly late because of you?" He began speaking in Russian with a hint of annoyance in his voice.
