Clarification: The events of three years ago took place during the summer. This means Yura was on summer vacation and thus not attending school.

I'm super excited for this story and had to do a double update, and that means that this chapter is mostly unedited, so... heh.

Happy reading~!

'I'm going to pay for your transition. It's your early birthday present from me.'

Yura blinked. She blinked again. Then she burst into tears.

She sobbed as she wrapped her arms around the deaf man. The man to whom she was now indebted to. He would be the one to help her be her. To finally free her.

Tears were falling down Yuuri's cheeks too, not from sadness, but because he knew this is what Yura had always wanted, and he was giving her it. He knew how important this was. He knew Yura would be thanking him for the rest of her life, and he knew this was the best decision he had ever made. This was the year Yura would graduate from high school.

She had taken up ice skating sometime during Yuuri's rehabilitation after his incident, and now her skills on ice were as good as the Grand Prix finalists this year... according to her coach, Kanako, and she'd received several gold medals in local competitions as well as those in other states.

She was aiming to become a professional ice skater. She knew that many of the professional ice skaters in the league now had been skating since they were young and that she had a lot to do to catch up to them, but she was confident she could do it.

The costume rules wouldn't allow Yura to wear a dress since she was physically male, and she was going to have to take a long, long break from her dream if she was going to go under sex reassignment.

People were looking at the crying duo in confusion and in awe.

'Thank you so much...' Yura cried as she pulled away, even if Yuuri couldn't hear, she knew he could read her lips.

'Y-you're welcome... Now, let's go,' Yuuri gave his younger friend a teary smile.

The two walked into the mall, wiping tears from their eyes, and feeling a light, fluttery happiness in their chests.

Meanwhile

'Well, my dudes, I'm out,' Phichit hummed as he headed towards the door some twenty minutes after Yuuri and Yura had left

'Well, my dudes, I'm out,' Phichit hummed as he headed towards the door some twenty minutes after Yuuri and Yura had left.

Viktor had finished eating and was washing the dishes, whilst Chris played around on his phone.

'Wait, Phichit... and Chris, I need to talk to the both of you,' Viktor interceded, drying his hands on a towel.

Phichit turned around and smiled, 'Can it wait? I'm going to go see Seungchoochoo.'

Chris looked confused. Phichit laughed.

'Seung Gil, sorry. He's my boyfriend.'

Chris's expression wavered for a second, before being replaced by a happy one. 'Oh, cool.'

Viktor's mouth was wide open. So wide, in fact, you could fit Yuuri's d-- ahem, moving on...

'I THOUGHT YOU WERE SINGLE! HOW COME YOU DIDN'T TELL ME YOU HAD A BOYFRIEND!?' he yelled.

Phichit shrugged, 'I told Yuuri. I assumed he'd tell you. Anyways, we've been together for like a month, so it's not been that long.'

Chris hummed and turned to Viktor with a sad look, which went unnoticed by Phichit, and said 'What were you going to talk to us about, Vikky?'

Viktor paled then let out a small gasp. 'Oh, that's right. Well, here's the deal... I... I want to propose to Yuuri. I want us to tie the knot, but I don't know how. I know he loves ice skating, and that he and Yura are super into that stuff, the whole ice skating thing. Yura's actually wanting to be a professional skater, but anyways, I was thinking that ice skating should have to do with it? With my proposal, I mean. I... I bought rings already.'

Phichit's eyes were glowing, and he had his thinking cap on. His brain was working around with the information he'd just acquired. He knew, of course, Yuuri wanted to marry Viktor, but he wasn't going to reveal this information. It would be much more fun for Viktor to suffer from not knowing whether Yuuri would say yes or no.

'Hmm...Well,' Chris said, 'What about renting out your local ice rink, decorating it and all that stuff..?'

'Yeah! You can rent out Burr's Ice Rink... but when?' Phichit added. Viktor let out a breath, blowing the hair in front of his into the air.

'How about... this weekend? Saturday maybe?' Viktor asked. Chris and Phichit nodded enthusiastically and Phichit immediately took out his phone.

'I'll call the rink,' he said, and a minute later the phone was on speaker.

After a ring or two, a voice picked up, 'Burr's Ice Rink. this is Eliza, how many I help you?'

The next few minutes were spent booking the rink for Saturday from four to seven in the afternoon, making payments, and celebrating the booking with high-fives.

'We have three days to buy decorations. Now, just what are we going to decorate the place with?' Chris asked.

Those three days were long and hard. Especially since Viktor kept worrying about whether Yuuri would or wouldn't like the colour of something or the type of flower Viktor bought.

But mostly, Viktor worried about whether or not Yuuri would say yes.
