Chapter 2

"Jewels!"

I laughed as Meg brought me into a suffocating drunken hug.

"Meggers!" I said with the same enthusiasm causing her to giggle uncontrollably.

I could smell the mixture of alcohol and smoke permeating from her body. I patted her back and pulled away to hug Carry.

"Sup Jewels?"

"Nothing much Lilac."

All of my friends were taller than me even if it was just by an inch. We all had our similarities and our differences, but that's what makes good friends.

Meg had chocolate brown eyes, bobbed curly blonde hair with multi-colored dip dyed tips with tattoos spread everywhere and multiple ear piercings.

Carry had light purple, curly, long hair and dark blue eyes with a few scattered tattoos and a lip piercing.

While Cresh has green eyes, dark purple hair long curly hair with both of her arms scattered with many tattoos and a nose piercing.

Whereas I have light green eyes, curly long brown hair with blonde highlights around face with a few meaningful tattoos and a nose piercing.

We all have our similarities with looks and if random people pointed us out they would know we were friends. Although my tattoos are all hidden because of my father, the way I dress most of the time makes up for it.

I was handed a pink drink that had a raspberry smell to it. I smiled and looked up to see who gave it to me but was disappointed when no one was there.

Oh well.

"Jewels! Did you see him?!"

I furrowed my brow in confusion and tilted my head at Lilac. "Who?"

"That guy! The one that gave you the drink!"

I shook my head even more disappointed.

It's rare for me to get attention from a guy because I'm not a slut but I'm what most people would call a 'bad girl' because of how I act and dress. I sighed and looked down at my drink.

This is what I came here for.

I tipped my head back and guzzled the drink blinking my eyes as I felt the burn.

"Let's get this party started!" I screamed jumping up and down feeling a bit buzzed but no where near drunk.

They all laughed and stood as we made our way to the dance floor. I was shoved to the ground by multiple people and they started to run toward the back door. I groaned and pulled myself to my feet trying to listen.

"Po po!"

My eyes widened and I whipped around toward the front door to see flashing blue and red lights coming toward the house. I cursed under my breath and followed the crowd to the back door.

"Jewels!"

I turned my head to see Cali coming toward me with Meggers and Lilac in tow.

"We gotta get out of here. I don't know how many more times they're gonna let me get away with it." I talked loud enough for them to hear over all the commotion.

They nodded and we ran toward the door and out into the backyard.

How many people were even in the house?

Good grief.

We all piled into the backyard and people started jumping fences and running in the opposite direction of the police. I looked around quickly for a gate and my eyes landed on one at the far side corner.

I grabbed Cali's arm and pulled them all toward it. I flung it open and smirked as I saw the path was clear before starting to run. I came to a screeching stop and all three of my friends rammed into my back causing me to stumble.

I looked up and gulped at the police officer standing in front of me with his arms crossed and a look of disappointment on his face.
