Chapter 10

My eyes widened in surprise at Niall standing, or should I say fuming, before us.

His eyes were dark, muscles tense, fists clenched. The guy instantly released me and I head him gasp.

"N-Niall Horan?" He asked in shock.

I whipped around when I was standing and shot a quick lethal jab to his stomach.

"Should have let me go." I whispered in his ear leaving him to gasp for breath.

I turned around to Niall who was smirking widely at me.

"Leave." He bellowed to the others who swiftly left the guy in the booth.

"Thanks, but I could have handled myself." I brushed my apron down and looked up meeting his eyes that were slowly turning back to normal.

"I see that." He looked behind me at the guy before smirking widely back at me.

I brushed past him only to have him grab ahold of my forearm stopping me in my tracks. "Join us."

"I'm working." I shrugged his hand off and went back into the back.

I took a deep breath of relief.

I'm not going to lie and say that he didn't scare me because he did. No matter how strong I may seem, deep down he frightened me to the core.

I was looking down until I ran into something hard. "I'm sorry, sir." I was met with an angry looking boss.

"Jewel." He said my name in a warning tone causing me to curse under my breath and place a smile on my face.

"Sir?" I asked innocently.

"Why are you not serving our special guest?"

I was confused at first but soon realized he was talking about Niall.

"I was just getting their food." I said pointing to it on the counter as cover.

He nodded and stepped aside. I sighed and grabbed their food. I could feel the bald headed man who I called my boss following me out into the lobby.

By the time I reached the table again I saw that the others had also removed their hoods and glasses. The two to the left were strongly built like Niall and also very attractive.

One had black hair swept up into a quiff and striking brown eyes. His prominent features stood out and his tan skin accented them very well.

The other had sparkling blue eyes with brown shaggy hair. His jaw was featured with stubble.

I approached the table knowing that my boss was watching from somewhere behind me. I gasped slightly when he spoke from directly behind me.

"We hope you enjoy the meal."

Niall smiled and thanked him. I rolled my eyes, distributing the food between the three as my boss tried to impress Niall.

The one with blue eyes smiled kindly in thanks and I nodded. I went to walk away when my boss grabbed my wrist. He jerked me towards him and whispered in my ear.

"You are to join them."

I shoved him away, not liking his close proximity to my face. Niall coughed and he backed away with a smile.

Niall had moved over making room for me. I groaned very loudly in response getting me a smack in the butt. I shrieked jumping away into the seat. My boss glared at me silently telling me to be good.

I scowled at his unusual behavior. I turned to look at Niall who smiled at me.

"Who are you?" I directed my attention to the two unknown men sitting across from me.

"I'm Zayn." The one with brown eyes spoke.

"I'm Louis."

"Jewel." I turned to Niall crossing my arms. "Can I leave now?"

He chuckled and sat up straight in his seat. He shook his head earning a groan and scowl in return.

"I like her. She's feisty."

I glared at Zayn who chuckled and high fived Niall across the table.

Childish behavior will get you nowhere boys.

"Why am I here?"

Niall looked down at me making me feel smaller than I was as he towered over me even in a seated position. "You ever heard of me?"

I shook my head.

"I never pay another look to girls."

"Then why am I any different?"

He released a low growl that sounded almost animalistic. "Because you are different."

I shook my head. "I'm not."

He released another growl. "You're mine."
