Chapter 9

I took a deep breath and prepared myself for the long day ahead of me.

Everything's going to be okay and work out fine. It's just another normal day at work then I'll go home and sleep for eternity. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I just need to clear my head and focus on the task ahead. I plastered a fake smile on my face as I grabbed my apron and tying it around my waist. I slipped my notepad into one pocket, pen in the other, and straws in the last pocket.

I watched as people walked through the door and let someone else handle them as I walked towards my tables. I grabbed my notepad and pen smiling innocently and walked up to my first table.

"Hello, my name is Jewel and I'll be your server today. What can I get you?"

I assessed the very attractive man sitting to my right and also the two attractive ones to my left. The one to my right with dark green eyes and spiked up black hair looked up at me first.

A smirk made its way onto his face as he very bluntly checked me out.

And there goes the attractiveness.

He finally found his way back to my eyes and by then I had a scowl on my face.

"I'll have a coke."

I scribbled it down and turned to the two on my left. One with blonde hair swept over his bright green eyes and the other with dark brown hair in a quiff and sparkling blue eyes.

The one with green eyes looked at me almost sympathetically while the other bluntly checked me out as well.

"I'll have coke and he'll have dr. pepper."

I scribbled it down and walked away fed up with the attitude they were portraying. I grabbed their drinks and set them on the table.

Might as well get a good tip I suppose if I have to put up with them. I purposely bent over the table giving them a clear view of my cleavage.

When I pulled away I stood up straight and plastered another smirk on my face.

"What can I get you to eat today?"

The guy to my right smirked widely. "You."

I released a girly giggle and gasped when he reached out and pinched my bum. I playfully slapped his hand away and they finally ordered real food.

I turned to walk away and my scowl returned immediately.

Oh, what I do for money.

I placed their order in and went to my only other occupied table in my section.

"Hello, my name is Jewel and I'll be your server today. What can I get for you?"

I looked up to see three men sitting like the other booth. One to my right and two to my left. They all had hoodies and dark sunglasses on so I wasn't able to tell what they looked like, but they all looked pretty well built and fairly tall.

"We'll all take coke."

I nodded and scrawled it down. "Are you ready to order or do you need a few?"

They gave me their orders and I couldn't help but feel that the one to my rights voice sounded familiar, but I brushed the thought away quickly.

I put their orders in and picked up table ones orders or shall I say arseholes table. I bent over the table again to give them their food and stood back up.

"Will that be all?"

"I need your number too." The blue eyed one to my left said.

I giggled again but ignored the question.

"Dude, just leave her alone." The blonde haired one to my left smacked the guy on the back of his head before turning to me. "I'm sorry for these arseholes behavior."

I smiled kindly at him and nodded as thanks. I went to turn away only to have the one on my right grab my wrist and pull me back into something hard.

I gasped unexpectedly and fell onto his lap. I smacked his hands that were wrapped tightly around my waist trying to get him to release me.

"Let me go." I pried at his fingers but he wouldn't budge.

He was laughing too hard to realize someone had approached the table. I looked up to see it was one of the hooded figured that were seated at my other table. He pushed back his hood and removed his sunglasses.

"Let her go."
