"Why do you want revenge?" I swallowed down the lump that was slowly forming in my throat from the fear that welled inside of me.
He slowly lifted his head away from my neck and a taunting smirk pulled at his lips as he stared into my eyes. "You and Niall can never be."
My eyes widened when he mentioned Niall. "Why?"
A low grumble ran past his lips. "You ask too many questions. He killed my alpha."
I was somewhat relieved that he answered my question anyway, but terrified that I was now the target of revenge.
I watched in utter fear as his eyes slowly turned back into the haunting silver color. His snout went back to my neck where he sniffed my scent.
I gulped, closing my eyes and turning my head away from him. I tried to struggle underneath the tremendous weight of the wolf. A low growl escaped right next to my ear causing me to still instantly.
I felt a sharp pinch on my neck and a shrilling scream escaped my lips. The pain spread through me like an intense fire. Tears spilled out of my eyes and cascaded down my cheeks in a steady flow.
It was an indescribable pain that seemed to steadily increase as time went on. Sobs passed through my trembling lips as the wolf licked the spot he had just bit.
I knew blood was pouring from the wound and dared not touch it in fear of the pain returning. I opened my eyes to find a blurry figure above me.
"Wh-at did you do to me?" My voice trembled with sobs.
A sly smirk rose on his lips as he stared at me with a certain glint in his eyes. I felt a pit of dread well in my stomach as the pain returned and I cried out once again.
It coursed through every vein like fire spreading with the wind. I lifted my head off the ground and arched my back as it spread back to my neck. It slowly dissipated after a few minutes that felt like hours.
My blurry vision met the man's brown eyes. "What did you do to me?" I managed to ask him the question again with a steadier voice.
I saw a blur of black from the corner of my eyes and turned my head slightly to see Niall's wolf running straight towards me.
Tears slipped out of my eyes from pain and relief. A growl escaped Niall's snout as he came closer. Niall's eyes met mine and a look of relief and pain washed through them.
"You will become us." The man's voice echoed through my mind as he was ripped off of me.
'You will become us.'
