Chapter 20

Ragini distracted in her room paced around. The function was over and everyone was gone home. It was troubling her knowing that Swara was upset about the whole news of Sanskar and Kavita getting married yet she didn't say or do anything. Was her sister that selfless or was she so blind to the fact that without doing anything she was hurting more people and distorting more lives than Ragini had by what she had done. 

She didn't even realise when Lakshya came into the room and was talking to her. Only when he put a hand on her shoulder that she realise. "Sorry Lakshya were you talking to me?" She asked. 

"What happened Ragini? I have been watching you all night and you have been very distracted. I thought you were going to be happy knowing that Swara didn't make a scene tonight and that you were right about all and that she won't be breaking up two people in love."

Tears formed in Ragini's eyes as she quietly stood there listening to Lakshya. She didn't know how she was to explain the dilemma that she was feeling inside. She was fighting with her brain and her heart in this topic. She was scared of her sister coming into the house and messing Up everything for her but then also the idea of her sister losing her love like she had nearly was also an issue. 

"Lakshya like I have said before, you won't understand the emotions that I'm going through, I don't want to hurt my sister as I can see her losing the one person that she loves slipping away. I do understand the feelings but it is her who has to make that choice to stand up and fight back. Tonight as much as I was against it all, deep down I was hoping that she would talk to Sanskar and tell him the truth and stop the whole wedding  plans."

"I guess that's what makes you 2 so different. She isn't to break someone's happiness for herself."

This was like a slap on the face for Ragini. She couldn't believe what just Lakshya said. "Fine Lakshya you have all the right to be mad at me for all that I did. But I never blame you for all the pain that you caused me. You liked To me on so many occasions, you lied about liking my sister when we were getting married. I always loved you, from the  moment that I was told that I was marrying you. So yes I'm different from Swara and what she is doing. I wasn't as strong as her but at least i knew the people I was hurting." 

Lakshya and Ragini stood there in silence, either of them wanting to break the silence as they both knew that they were wrong at some stage of this relationship.

"Beta, I know that Kavita is you first love and all but this all wedding things isn't it happening too fast. Don't get me wrong but I thought you loved Swara." 

"Bari Ma, I have been telling Swara that since the day Kavita came back into my life. I have told her that she is the one that I love and want to marry, but she has been fixated on me giving Kavita a chance. So I have decided to take that advice into consideration and start my life with her."

"This isn't a joke, first you were heart broken about Kavita and then you decided to move on and fell in love with this Swara and now you want to go back to Kavita. Jiji you tell me what type of love is this?" Questioned Sujata. 

"Ma, I know what I'm doing. I have one love and in the end she will he mine. I have been through a lot and it has taught me to not give up. I'm going to get the love of my life and it all may seem like a mess but I will clean it all up."

"And Ma and chachi Jiji, Lakshya and I are going to support and help Sanskar through all this. Even though some people don't believe that I want the best for all families and all involved."

"Whatever bhai is doing and going to do is to get the person he loves and he doesn't want to hurt anyone but someone will have to be hurt. Ma, all we want from you guys is to trust bhai and know that he is doing this for the best."

They all stood there for a while but then Sujata is the one that broke the silence. "Sanskar, do whatever you must. All I want is that you be happy and get what you want. We will be right here behind you for support."

Sanskar smiled and hugged her mum. He was glad that now even his family was behind him for support. That's all he needed. He knew that with them with him, he was going to get the love of his life and there was no way Swara was going to back down. She was down hiding and running from the truth and hiding her feelings for evey one else. Sanskar and Swara were going to be one again and soon.
