Chapter 30

Swara sat here her phone as if hoping to hear from Sanskar. She wanted to call him up and tell him the truth. She couldn't get his face out of her head as she imagined him hearing what she said. She wanted to tell him that what she said wasn't how she felt. She loved him and that is why she wanted him at the temple. But then Ragini and Kavita came in and ruined everything. She couldn't believe that her own sister was planning to ruin her happiness.

"Swara, the more you sit here and think about it the less time you will have to get Sanskar to understand the truth. You can't wait around for everything to just fall into place," said Sharamistha.

"Ma, I forgave Ragini the first time she tried to hurt me and how I felt about her never changed because maybe deep down I knew that it was my fault at some level. I had stolen the only man she loved and I as painful it was, I let him go."

"Beta, I know that in the past couple of months what has happened hasn't been easy for us all. We all have been through a lot and had to go through so many tests. But you should talk to Ragini and heat what she has to say," suggested Sharamistha.

As much as she hated the idea of talking to Ragini about this all as she knew that she was still not happy with Sanskar and her getting together, but at the same time her mother was also right. She had to talk to her and get this all sorted. At that moment her relationship with Sanskar was on the line.

Lakshay paced outside as he thought about what Ragini had said. He should be happy with this all as finally she would be out of his life. But then why was he still on that. He saw inside, Ragini who was now getting ready to go to bed. She was also deep in thought but she didn't even acknowledge him outside.

Inside, Ragini took off her jewellery and prepared for bed when her phone rang indicating a message. Seeing who it was, she watched in surprise that it was Swara.

Ragini, I know that this is the last thing either of us wants to do as we both know that the way things ended with us and where we are in our relationship isn't the place. However, this is important as this is relating to my happiness. I really need to you and talk to you. I can't make any decision without actually talking to you so meet me tomorrow at 11am at the local park (I'm not from India so I don't know names of parks and all so just go with it).

Ragini re-read the message again and a small smile spread across her face. This was it. This is all she needed, a chance to talk to her and make her understand what Kavita was after and what she really wanted.

The next morning Ragini quickly went downstairs to do pooja and make breakfast for the family. The whole time she kept checking her time to make sure that she was not late. Finally, when all the men had gone to work and it was only the ladies, she approached Annapurna.

Uttara was unconfortablly talking to Kavita and taking this as an advantage, she took Annapurna to the side so she could speak with her without being over heard.

"Ma, Swara wants to speak to me and I think if I can get through to her then we can start preparing for Sanskar and her wedding and not Kavita's."

"Ok and make sure that she understands how much she means to him and that this is all wrong," said Annapurna.

Ragini nodded but deep down she didn't want to burden her with the truth. The possibility that Kavita was still planning on ruining the union of Sanskar and Swara. She was willing to hurt anyone that came in her way and it was up to Swaragini to make sure that Sanskar got his true love.

Ragini arrived at the park and checking her watch she realised that she was early. She sat down and waited for Swara impatiently.

"Thank God, that at least you came. I was doubting that you would want to even see me again. Especially since you have to prepare for your best friend's wedding," came Swara's voice.

Taken aback by the remark, Ragini slowly stood up and turned to find Swara. She looked angry yet she still saw that love and care in her sister's eyes. They were tearing up but she tried to keep a straight face.

"Swara, we have a lot to talk about. There are so many things that I want to say but I don't know where to start."

"Why don't you start by telling me why you hate me so much. I get that you were Rmad that Lakshay and I fell in love. But at every point I asked him to forget about me and marry you. You agreed to get us married and yet then you tried to kill me and make me look bad in front of the whole family. After this all, I managed to find a way to forgive you and move on. Then why do you still hate me so much?" asked Swara.

Ragini had no answer for her. This was the last thing she thought she would be asked.

"Swara..."

"Ragini, I asked you here today, so I can tell you that I don't care what Kavita and you throw my way. I will overcome it because I'm fighting for my love. You fought for yours and now I'm doing that for myself. The only difference is, I'm not dropping to the same level as you did," said Swara.

She turned around and started to walk away. Ragini stood there shocked as to what she just heard her. She still believed that she was with Kavita on this and she didn't even want to hear her. The pain of that hurt... but on the other hand, she had just admitted that she loved Sanskar and she was going to do what it takes to get him.

To prove to them all how much she wanted their apology, she was going to make sure that Kavita didn't come in their way and that Swara could get her happy ending.
