Chapter 23

Swara stood there confused about what was happening. Since all the drama that has happened and the way Ragini was still acting, it was pointing to her not being happy yet she was saying that she shouldn't stay quiet. 

"Ragini, whatever want to say, say it out straight. Don't beat around the bushes. I know you don't want me to comes into that family and I also know that you see yourself in Kavita." 

"You know its sad to stand here thinking that your own  sister who at one stage knew you so well now stood in front of you like a stranger. I wish you could truly understand me and my intentions," said Ragini disappointed. 

Turing around she started to leave. She stopped for a second and then kept going.

Ragini stopped at the corner and watched her sister sit stand there confused. Seeing her Ragini couldn't hold back the tears. She wiped away the tear and thought not herself.

"I'm sorry Swara. I know im the worst in your eyes at the moment. I know that everything I say to you makes me the villain in this situation. I know that I may look like the bad guy standing in front of you happiness once again. I'm the reason that you are once again losing your love and I'm the one that is making trouble for you but trust me... I know you. You wouldn't do anything to hurt Kavita and Sanskar. You will once again stand there watching. I know I blame you for trying to break Lakshay and me up but I can see the love that you have for Sanskar. It the love that you didn't have for Lakshay. I'm only pushing you forward to follow your heart and in order to do that I have to be the bad guy then so be it."

Sanskar sat his bed with paper work spread out. Even though he was mean to be working, all he could think of was Swara and he kept rerunning the events of last night in his mind. He kept thinking of her face when she heard the news. He saw her tears, and the pain in her eyes. He closed his eyes trying to forget as it only made him weak and make him doubht his plans to get her back. 

"Why are you doing this all? You say you love me and yet you are making  me cry. You are hurting me more than anyone. I want to be with you and the only solution that you could come up won was getting married to her and letting me suffer," came the voice of Swara.

Opening hIs eyes, Sanskar saw Swara sitting in front of him. She had a smile on her face yet there was still that same saddens in her eyes. He came closer and extended his hands to touch her but she got up and stood back. 

"Why didn't you say anything. I wanted you to say something, I wanted you to fight back. Wanted you to come forward and break it up. Deep down I wished that you would come forward," replied Sanskar. 

"I couldn't come between you and your love. To me you asking Kavita marrying you was like you claiming you loved her more than me. I guess giving you that extra time really answered your question," said Swara.

"Never doubt my love for you. I will die rather than have you leave me. I'm going to fight for you no matter how long it take. Im only here at this point is only so I can get you back. Don't confus this for the fact that at one point that I was in love with Kavita. Yes I was willing to do anything for her but than it was you who showed me what true love was like." 

"Then keep fighting. I'll wait because I know and believe in my love for you. I know that even though I'm hurting, at the end of this all I'll be getting my happy ending," announced Swara.

Sanskar came closer and was about to touch Swara when there was a knock on the door and turning around, he saw Annupurna and Sujata's shadow. Turning back, he realised this he was in the room alone. He must have been imagining her here. 

Annupurna and Sujata came in. They both weren't too happy and even though Sanskar had assured them that he wasn't going to do anything that would make matters worse or hurt anyone's he understood the pain and suffering they were going through as well. 

"Beta, I really hope that what you are doing is something that won't hurt anyone in the process. Because you are leading Kavita on," said Annupurna. 

"I know Ma and Ragini already talked to me about this. I know that I'm leading her on but trust me. I'm going t or tell her the truth. I don't want to hurt her and the only way that is possible is if I tell he ether truth. So that's what I'm going to do." 

"I can't keep going on like this. I can't just sit here she  hurt the woman I love or hurt the person who thinks o love her. I can't play with their hearts and pretend that all Is going to be well. Swara I have had enough of this game. I'm ending it right now and like I promised, you are going to be this houses daughter in law." Thought Sanskar.
