Chapter 24

Sanskar paced in his room waiting for Kavita to come to him. After talking to Ragini and thinking over and over about this all he had made his mind about telling Kavita the truth. He didn't know  to tell her the truth because whatever way he did this, she was going to get hurt... Badly. She only loved him and he still loved her but not in the same way as he loved Swara. He was thinking about Swara when there came a knock on the door. 

"Sanskar, Sanskar... I have been knocking on the door for so long yaar. Acha tell me how suddenly after ignoring me for so long what happened that you called me here?" She asked. 

Sanskar looked at her. Trying to think back to that feeling that he had for her, the love and passion that they had one time yet he couldn't do it. There was no way he felt the same way about her that once he he.

"Kavita... We... I don't know how to tell you the truth," started Sanskar. 

"What's wrong? What happened, why are you not looking me to my face and talking? You are hiding something from me aren't you?" Asked Kavita now getting up and trying to look him in the eyes. 

Sanskar hesitated  before taking up the courage to continue. "Kavita, things have changed since we were together. The moment I found out you were murdered... I made a promise to myself that i was going o destroy this family. I had truly believed that papa was responsible. I was on the wrong path and I came close to getting your revage."

"Is that all. It's ok, I know how much you loved me and I know that losing me must have been a horrible time for you. Not being able to with you and being stuck in that room, I was going mad and your memories was the only thing getting me through," said Kavita. 

"Please, this is already a hard enough thing for me. Kavita Swara came into my life and she made me see that what I was doing wasn't right. I was hurting the people that loved me and I loved. I started to help her with her issues and I didn't even know when that friendship that we had turned to... Love. I fell in love with her and I truely and deeply love her. I'm sorry and I know this is unfair on you but I can't keep lying to you. I don't have that same love for you that you deserve." 

Kavita stood there like thousands of lighting had just fell on her. This must be some kind of sick joke because how can this man who she loved and who loved her back be telling her that he was in love with someone else. 

"Sanskar... Please tell me this is a dream."

"I'm sorry. I asked you to marry me because I thought she would stand up and admit that she couldn't let this all happen." 

"Sanskar you made a fool of me. You played with my emotions and you think I can so easily forget and forgive. No, i can't..." Cried Kavita and then ran out the room.

"What did you say to Swara? If you messed this all up for my bhai and his happiness then I'll never forgive you," said Lakshay as he saw Ragini enter the room. 

"Wow, Lakshay you suddenly care so much about Swara and Sanskar getting together. Wasn't it you who wanted to break up their marriage because you said you wanted her back. How can it all change," she responded. 

"Stop this nonsense and tell me that you didn't say anything to her that would break her heart and ruin them getting together. You jealousy didn't take over." 

"It pains me to see that after all that has happened, you still don't know me. I know my sister, she isnt scared to fight with people or stand up for what is right. But when it comes to her true feeling, she needs a push. She would rather be unhappy then break someone else's heart. I went and gave her that push," replied Ragini. 

Lakshay watched her leave unsure about what just happened. What was her plan and why wouldn't she tell them... Him the truth?

Sara went through the photo album of Sanskar and her wedding. She saw the sadness that she has in her eyes. Their wedding hadnt been done in the normal of circumstances but she could see the love he had in his eyes for her. How could have she been so blind? How could she not seen this love he had for her earlier? He kept telling her that she was the obly one for him yet she was stubborn and she kept pushing him away. 

Wiping away the tears she thought, "Sanskar, you have been fighting for me for so long. You kept by my side and always helped me. I was so stupid to not have seen this and now that you are going to be someone else's i can't handle it. I'm not Ragini and I can't do what she didn't to get Lakshay but I will do this my way. If we are meant to be then I'll fight for you. I know what you said and I know how I acted about this all but I can't lose you. I love you too much." 

Sanskar, I will fight... I'm not going to stand by this time and watch the man I love go to someone else. This time I'm not giving up... Sanskar it hurts me to be away from you and it's killing me knowing that you are going to make the worst mistake of your life... All because of me and my stubbornness. You have fought for me for too long. It's my time.
