Chapter 2

Swara made her way to Sanskar's room. The walk there felt long as the tension was building inside her. She was nervous as to what she would say to him. She wanted him to make the right decision and not be influenced by anyone. She understood what it meant to lose the love of your life but he had the chance to get it again. Finally she arrived at his room. She saw that he was already there and he was looking out the window, his back facing the door. 

"Come in Swara," he said without turning around. 

Slowly Swara entered. She was far way inside when Sanskar turned around and put his hands around her. He squeezed her tight as if she would disappear if he let go. Swara just stood there for a second shocked yet again by this gesture. Finally letting her emotions get get the better of her, she put her hands around him. The were embraced for a while before Swara slightly pushed Sanskar away. 

She saw the he had tears in his eyes. Holding back her on tears she broke the silence. "Sanskar, you must be happy nah. Kavita is back and she is alive."

"Yes but what about us. We still have to sort out everything between us. I love you and you said that you would anything to prove that you loved me. Is your way of showing this is by letting go without a fight. I know Kavita is back but it's been five years and things have changed. We have to sit down and sort this out, not just give up."

"Sanskar, I love you too much to force you. You say you love me but what if later down the track you realise that you aren't truly over Kavita and what if we... We break up again."

Silence fell at that. "Swara, but I won't be happy if i choose Kavita. I mean I know I loved her and I was willing to destroy my family for it. But when I met you, I accepted the fact that she had passed away and I have to move on. Which I did. As much as I love the fact that she is back in my life, too much had changed."

"Sanskar I get that but for her you are still her love. She still loves you and she doesn't know anything else. I'm not telling you what to do but I'm telling you that you need to consider this before making your mind up. I want you to keep that in mind that she has you and nothing else. I don't want to force you to make a decision. But I think you should give Kavita a chance."

Swara turned away before saying this. This was the hardest thing she had to do. Tell a lie and let her love go... A second time. She couldn't hold back the tears. She finally let some go as it was coursing her pain. She knew that with this Sanskar was also hurting and whe wouldn't be happy but she knew she had to do this. She had to open Sanskar to the possibility of allowing Kavita, his first love to enter his life again. 

"Swara do you even know what you are saying. You want me to let you go. The person that I love more than anything and you do the same for someone that I used to love?"

"Sanskar, loving someone then falling someone else, love doesn't work like that. You were in love with her and now you are willing to chose me over her."

"Exactly Swara, love can't be something that you turn on and off. You were so desperate for me to accept you and the  love you said you had for me and now you want me to forget that." 

Swara and Sanskar stood there. Sanskar placed his hands on Swaras shoulders as he knew that she was crying. But Swara removed his hands and wiped away the tears before she continued. 

"Sanskar as much as I would like you to forget about Kavita and be with me, I can't. You have a chance to make what was wronged before and be with her. I will not force you to choose one from the other but I will tell you to follow your heart and do what you want. Give Kavita a second chance." 

With that she turned away once again and started to walk away. She stopped at the doors and glanced at Sanskar who stood where he was and watched her go. 

"Fine Swara, at this time that's your decision. You think by doing this you are saving Kavita and my relationship then you are wrong. I promise that I will take the decision from my heart, will not get influenced by anyone but I also promise that my decision isn't going to change. I love you and I will make you admit this in front of everyone including Kavita. You will be the one that will be my wife and I will make sure of that. You are going from here with tears in your eyes and a frown on your lips but I promise that you will be here in my arms, with a smile on your face and joy in your eyes."

Swara stood there. Even though she wanted to leave or say say something but she couldn't. She wasn't sure what she was to do but she knew one thing. Deep down she wanted Sanskar to succeed and she wanted him to prove himself. She wanted to right now go and hug him and assure him that she was with him. She just didn't know if that was the right thing to do...
