Chapter 4

The morning sunlight crept through the tiny opening in the curtain. Swara yet again tossed under her sheets. She looked at the time on her phone and let out a small breath. It was nearly 7:48am. She rubbed her eyes which she knew would be red and puffy as she had spent the rest of the night crying. Just then her phone buzzed and she quickly checked what it was. 

To her surprise it was a message from Sanskar. She quickly removed the covers off her and sat upright. A huge smile was on her face. Maybe everything that happened was just a bad dream. Maybe the whole Kavita thing hadn't happened and that Sanskar and her were getting back together. The tiny hope rose and fell when the reality hit. No matter how much she wanted it to be all in a dream, it wasn't. She hesitated before finally opening the message. 

"Good Morning. Before your mood changes I would like to remind you what I said to you yesterday. And if you need a reminder than here it is. Even though you want to pretend that there is nothing between us and that I should forget you and continue my life with Kavita than again that is not going to happen. I chose you from day one and if you want me to drag this all out and in the end still choose you than its on you. This is just the start, keep waiting Swara I'm going to make you admit that you love me and that this all was a mistake." Love Sanskar 

Swara sat at her bed re-reading the message. Just like last night, she was confused. What was she suppose to feel. She did love Sanskar and she wanted to be with him but he had a chance with Kavita and he was just being stubborn. If he gave it a chance than maybe he would realise that he still loves Kavita and not her. 

There was a knock on the door and her mum. She came in and sat next to Swara. "Beta, did you even get a little sleep?" She asked. 

Swara shook her head and turned to place her head in her mothers lap. She tried to close her eyes but the events of last night kept flashing. "Ma, I was so close to finally being happy. Sanskar was going to accept me and Raginis truth had come out and everything was perfect."

"Beta sometimes when you have to go through obstacles like this, it makes your relationship stronger. And life only gives you what you can handle. Trust me, I know your heart is broken now but when you find your true happiness, nothing will stop you," advised her mother. 

"I know you and papa had problems like this as well but you are now happy. What if I have pushed my own soulmate towards someone else."

"You can't think that way. What did Sanskar say to you yesterday?"

Swara stopped. Should she tell her mother what he had said. She couldn't lie to her mum. Taking a breath in she started. "He said that I wasn't being reasonable. He said that he wanted to be with me and I kept telling him  to make the decision from his heart and not thinking of anyone else. I want him to try and give Kavita a chance. Now he says he loves me but what if down the track he hates me because he blew his chance with his first love." 

"What did he say?"

"He has vowed to make me admit that I'm wrong and that I love him. He said that he has and will choose me as he loves me. He said that he has closed the chapter on Kavita and wants to move on with me."

A smile appeared on Sharmistha's face. "I know he is right and sorry beta but this time my blessing is with Sanskar. I hope and I know that he will be successful. He is going to find his true love. And even you won't be able to do anything."

Swara sat there. Even her mother was with Sanskar. This made her happy to know that even after all this her mum was with her and accepted Sanskar even after everything that happened. This gave her even more courage for her to wait and accept Sanskar when he truly made his decision.
