"Get off me!" I screamed hoping someone would help. Damn the fact that I didn't have powers, I could have gotten away.
Trying my luck, I kicked him as hard as I could in the leg and ran. He groaned softly and followed after me. I knew he would catch up with me in due time. How does he know I'm a witch? What is he? Running through the woods I kept glancing behind me thinking that I'd see him, but he was nowhere in sight. Not going to trust myself to stop, I kept running.
I ran and ran before my lungs couldn't take it anymore and I collapsed on the ground. Looking around, I groaned. Not only was I being followed, but I managed to get myself lost in the woods.
Getting up after a moment I looked around trying to see if there were roads anywhere. What if I climb the tree? Then I can see better.
I look behind me for the bulky man, and when I didn't see him, I started climbing. This was my best chance at survival. If that man didn't get me, then a hungry bear would.
As I climbed to the top I breathed a sigh of relief. I felt a moment of calm rush over me, but that didn't last long as I heard shuffling underneath me. I was pretty far up, so someone below would have to be a really good hunter to see me.
"Where is she?" I heard screams. I covered my mouth to keep me from gasping, as I peaked down. Underneath me was at least 10 guys. My eyes widened to the size of saucers, they were huge. Not just huge. but seriously tall. I doubted my survival for a minute when it clicked in my head, they're werewolves. I didn't know much about them, but I was guessing that I somehow stumped onto their territory. How could I be so stupid? Those people at the supermarket were werewolves, which is how they knew I was a witch. But could they really smell me? I mean, I doubt I'm even a witch.
"She's up there." Someone said. I felt my heart drop when I saw all of them looking at me. I stared at them for a long time, before getting onto my feet. I wobbly tried to stand on the uneven branch and prayed that it wouldn't break.
"Get her!" Someone screamed, and to my horror, I saw 2 men start climbing my tree. I tried with all my might to get to the end of the branch, but my horrible balance wouldn't let me, as I tumbled out of the tree and not so flawlessly landed on my ass.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here? A witch? How could a witch come into our territory! And threaten our people!" One roared. I looked at him and shook my head, I didn't mean any trouble.
"Please, you're mistaken. I don't mean any harm." I squeaked out as they cornered me. I tried to move back, but my butt hurt so much that I did an ungraceful squirm over to the tree behind me.
One of the wolves got angry, I could tell because he started to shift right in front of me. His canines came out full display for me to gawk at. I felt my nerves go on overdrive, and I couldn't help the sweat that started to appear on my forehead.
"Please, just let me explain..." I started but was cut off when I heard, even more, growls. I looked around me and saw every single one of the men, turn. My heart must have stopped because I was paralyzed with fear.
Witches are Werewolves sworn enemies. They wouldn't listen to me, but they surely would kill me.
I squealed when one lunged at me, I was waiting for an impact but when it didn't come I looked back at the wolf, and to my surprise, it was thrown somewhere. I looked at my hands and gasped. Blue smoke was coming out of my palms. My magic!
My magic! It's finally here! I cried in my head. I got up as I saw the wolf wobbly try to stand. Another lunged at me on my side but I raised my palm, and the same thing happened. He went flying. I cheered loudly. Maybe I needed fear to bring out my magic? Surprise? Who knew.
Before I could let myself become even happier, every single one of them lunged at them. I didn't have time to react as one got a hold of my leg. He or she shook their head fast, tearing off a nice chunk of my skin. I cried out and raised my hands into the air before I could even comprehend what happened, every single one of them was raised into the air. They were almost floating but not quite. I turned my hands and they went flying across the woods.
I sat down and looked at my leg, to say it was bad would be an understatement, it looked horrible. I wouldn't be able to walk that's for sure.
Looking back at the wolves I noticed that none of them were moving. I tried to get up, but my leg wouldn't let me. My vision started going black and I held my head, as a nerve pinching headache came on.
I tried to crawl, but that wasn't working. Before I could move another inch I was frozen in fear once again. A howl so powerful had me wincing slightly, where ever that noise came from, it was not messing around. I tried with all my might, but soon enough succumb to the pain, my headache getting worse, making my vision go into a loop. My arm subconsciously raised, and to my shock, my body created a shield of protection around me, not allowing anything to come inside that bubble.
The last thing I saw was a pitch-black paw before I passed out.
