"Luna Adeline, please don't mind my disturbance. But, I was wondering if you'd like to come with me out to the shops." A voice said from the doorway.
Glancing over I nodded slowly. It was the young maid from last time, I hadn't seen her in at least a week.
"I would love to," I said. Maybe this was my chance to run. "Let me get changed first."
Making my way into the walk in closet I ignored the arrays of clothes that belonged to him. I hadn't seen him ever since our little "makeout" session, and I didn't want to anyway.
"Alright, I'll be waiting outside." She said I listened until she closed the door to grab something and make my way to the bathroom. Brushing my teeth quickly and attempting to manage my tangly hair into a neat bun, I smiled and walked out.
"Ok, I'm ready," I said walking outside. She stood there and looked at me before motioning with her head to follow her.
Following her outside I hugged myself, I saw out of the corner of my eye bulky men with weapons followed us. Looking at the girl in alarm she simply looked in front.
"You know, I never got your name. And I would like to apologize for what happened last time, I shouldn't have put you in the middle of my problems." I said. I looked at her waiting for a reply but it never came. Looking away I sighed. This place was even more lonely than my home.
"Angela, my name's Angela. And for last time, don't worry about it, he does worse." She said after a while. Looking at her quickly I shot her a look. Worse? What worse could he do?
"Oh, you don't want to know." She said opening the door to a big black car. Getting in quickly I buckled my seatbelt and waited as she got in and sat next to me.
I looked around quickly and saw the men getting into the car behind us. Looking at Angela quickly I motioned with my head towards the men.
"They're here to protect you, make sure nothing happened to you. Alpha Kayden wants you to be safe, and to make sure you don't run off." She said simply. Kayden? That's his name?
"His names Kayden?" I asked. She nodded and looked at me oddly.
"You didn't know his name?" She asked.
"No, it never came us," I said leaning my head against the cold glass of the car as two men got into the driver's side and passenger seat, I shifted uncomfortably. Why so many people?
"What's a Luna?" I asked Angela. She eyes nearly bugged out as she looked at me.
"Don't tell me he hasn't told you anything." She asked. Shaking my head I waited for her to explain.
"Do you know what mates are? Ok, probably not. But, you and Kayden are, mates. You see every werewolf have these soulmates that they are destined to spend the rest of their lives with. And, it is very rare to have a witch and a werewolf mated, especially to the Alpha King. I think you're the first one. But a Luna is kind of like the female alpha. She is to rule with the alpha. A female is kind of like the armor to their males." She explained. Nodding slowly I looked away. Mates? That's a thing?
"Why can't I use my magic?" I asked her. I noticed the men in the front looking out the corner of their eyes at me, but I ignored them.
"I can't say." She said scooting away from me. The men shifting also obviously uncomfortable with the question. Or was it the answer they were uncomfortable with?
The rest of the ride was quiet. Looking outside I notice that we passed by my old area, looking quickly I strained my eyes to see if the house was still there. I knew it wasn't, and I also knew that I couldn't see it through the trees. But it was worth a shot.
