Rushing downstairs I try to get there before Kayden does. I was just informed about my "fiance" being here. And I couldn't help myself to become scared, Kayden wouldn't like that. And to make matters worse, this had to be the worst timing possible.

I could hear the furious growls of Kayden as Connon tried to hold him back.

Running down the stairs I stop being them, Kayden's visibly shaking as I put a hand on his arm.

"Who is it?" I asked.

"He's being held in that room. It would be wise to calm Kayden down first. Luna, do you have a fiance?" Connon asked. Shaking my head I grab Kayden's hands as he relaxes slightly.

"I have no idea who it is. Kayden please calm down, this could just be a misunderstanding." I say rubbing his arm, I've never seen his wolf but I most definitely didn't want to see it while it's angry.

"Who the fuck comes into my house claiming to be your fiance?!" He screamed. Flinching backward I look at him before rubbing a hand down his face.

"Calm down, we don't even know who it is yet. Please don't do anything irrational." I say looking at Connon for help.

"He's out of my hands Luna," Connon said putting a hand on Kayden's shoulder.

"Alpha, let's see who it before making any decisions," Connon says. I nod as well as I turn towards the door the guy is being held in.

Walking quickly towards the door I burst inside, noticing about 10 wolves standing around a figure, some with weapons and others without. Kayden followed closely behind me and I looked at the back of the guys head.

"Turn around so I can see you," Kayden said rather calmly.

The guy chuckled and turned around slowly putting his hands up in mock surrender.

"Damian?" I asked looking over my childhood friend, the one who lived next door and would sneak into my house to pour water on me.

"Hello Adeline, I didn't think I would get confronted like this when I heard you were here. I was passing by, but looks like you already cultivated yourself into their kind." He said looking me over.

"Don't you dare speak to her like that!" Kayden screamed making the glass cup on the table shake.

"Kayden, can I talk to him for a minute?" I asked quietly. He looked at me and shook his head.

"Guards, get my chain." He said sitting down. Looking at him in horror I glance at Damian. He has a smirk on his face and winked when he saw me looking.

That must have made Kayden snap because he got up so quickly and grabbed his neck, that all I felt was the wind of his figure.

"Kayden!" I cried rushing over. I felt Connon grab me and practically drag me out of the room.

"Luna Adeline, we all do respect. But, you really shouldn't interfere with Kayden right now. He could potentially hurt you, especially when he's this angry." He tried to reason with me. Huffing I pull away from him but not before pressing my ear to the door.

It was sound proof...

"Look, that man is a childhood friend, why he said he's my fiance I don't know. But, I don't think it would be wise to have Kayden kill him before I can talk to him." I say curtly. Connon nods and ponders my statement.

"Just wait a little bit, Kayden can get answers out of anyone. I'll take you back to his room if you'd like." Glancing back at the door I nod realizing that he won't be coming out anytime soon.
