This cabin is gorgeous. Running my hands down ever log I smile sadly. This is Kayden's refuge.
"I wonder if he's ever brought anyone here before." I say to myself. The small jealous part of me hopes that he hasn't, but a bigger part of me tells me that he has.
Sighing I walk downstairs in hopes of finding a kitchen. I was starving.
"I wonder what happened to Janet and Erik." I ponder. What if Erik told Janet that I went away? Is Janet trying to get my back?
Walking through an equally gorgeous living room I see the kitchen and smile. Who knew that cabins could be so big.
"Adeline! Adeline can you hear me?!" A voice startled me, making me stop mid-step.
"Um... who's there?" I whisper. I recognized the voice, but I just couldn't place it.
"It's Erik! I'm over here!" Erik screamed. Trying to place where his voice is, I walk towards the glass window.
"No, not there. Behind you!" He screamed again. Turning sharply I see a large window of some sort, Erik was looking in and Janet was right behind him.
"Oh my god, how did you?" I start rushing over. Erik looks at me quickly before reaching a hand out.
"Adeline, pull me in!" He said gesturing to his open palm.
Reaching my hand inside the weird mirror I feel Erik grab onto my hand before he starts slowly emerging from the glass.
"Ok, that is really weird. What are you doing here?!" I scream looking outside of the glass windows, hoping that nobody is seeing this.
"I'm here to save you princess. Wow, don't tell me this is Kayden's cabin. I haven't seen this place in years!" He screamed looking around.
"You know, I'm really happy that you're here. But, um... someone might see you, and you know... how did you guys? What?... I am completely lost right now." I said sitting on the couch. Looking up quickly I rush over to the windows and yank the curtains down.
"Oh, it's ok we have a couple hours to burn. Janet is gonna open up the portal a bit later, but I thought I'd give you some company." He beemed walking over to me.
"How did you know I'd be here? What if you teleported to the castle? Erik this is really stupid, Kayden's gonna kill you if he sees you here." I screech. I was becoming paranoid that Kayden might have put warriors around the area. They might see, or smell, or hear us.
"Janet tracked you. Wasn't hard really, you're the only witch in a 100 mile radius of here. And this cabin is a good 5 miles from the castle. I don't smell any other wolves, well besides Kayden. But I know he's not here." He said sitting on the couch and lifting up his feet.
"But, what if he comes back! This is really stupid Erik, you have to leave." I said pointing behind me but groaned when the portal was nowhere in sight.
"Don't worry he won't, I know that boys schedule inside and out. And besides princess don't you want to spend some time with me?" He smiled coming closer to me.
"Um...no. Look Erik, I know you guys want to bring me back, but I promised Kayden that I would give him an answer by the end of this week. If I'd stay, or not." I explained. Erik nodded and leaned back.
"So, what you gonna tell him? I mean you know, you can always just stay with us." He persuaded.
"Honestly, I don't know. I'm conflicted, one side of me wants to stab him with a fork, and the other side wants to run and stay in his arms." I say and sigh. Why am I explaining this to Erik?
