* Gif is not Adeline, just wanted to give you an idea of what she was doing last chapter :)
"Now Adeline, how long have you been away from the witching community?" Veldon asked siting across from me.
He was an older man, slight freckles and a handsome face. His dark hair was the same shade as his eyes, and the tiredness of his face mirrored mine.
"It's been like 8 years, I was sent here when I was 11. My mother brought me here, well she more of transported me near here. I lived in a small cabin in the woods, a few miles from here. She did say something about "what I would do" when I asked why I was being brought somewhere else. But, she never explained anything to me. I assumed that I was shunned." I explained looking down. Janet rubbed my back and I winced, she shouldn't be so kind to me right now, not after what I did, even if that wasn't me.
"Adeline, that is very peculiar that your mother would send you away at the age of 11. Something must have been really wrong for her to do that. Did she tell you anything else?" He asked running a hand along his chin, in deep thought.
"No, nothing else. She told me she loved me, then I never saw her again." I said hoping that he had an explanation for what is going on.
"Who was that girl, or whatever she was that took over Adeline's body? I mean, I've never seen something like that before." Janet asked. She squeezed my arm and smiled, reassuring me.
"I believe she is a shape shifter, that can explain why your powers only came in after you met Kayden, but she was something else. She's very powerful, I'm going to have to do some research but I think I might know someone who can help." He said standing up.
"I was mated to a werewolf too, why didn't the same thing happen to me? I mean, that's very odd." Janet pondered.
"Janet, Adeline is mated to the Alpha King. He is a very powerful man, their power together could alone rule the world. But, the reason it didn't happen to you, is because you are a normal witch. Adeline, is quite different, she's more powerful. Which your mother probably assumed, that's why she sent you away." He explained walking around.
"Wait, I remember something she said. She said that if any other witch or wizard got their hands on me, it would be very bad." I told him. He nodded and kept walking.
"Adeline, I am going to send you to someone for the time being. We never know when whoever that was is going to re-surface. And when she does, you need to be able to fight her off. She could take full control over you, and that's something that we don't want." He said. I swallowed the bubbles in my throat and nodded. That was best for everyone, while I learned how to control myself.
"For how long? Will you tell me when Kayden is better?" I asked standing up.
"Probably for a couple months, I will lift the spell blocking your main powers so that you will have something to work with. But, I can't guarantee that you will be safe from yourself. And don't worry, I will inform you of when the Alpha King wakes up, but Adeline I will block you from transporting to him. You might hurt him again, and who knows what else she's capable of. The best thing for now is to keep you two separated" He says. I nod and sit back down, the dread covering my heart as I put my hands in my face. I was beyond terrified of myself, and what I was capable of. But the one thing worse than that, was what I did to Kayden.
"When do we leave?" I ask. I wanted to get as far from this place as possible. I wouldn't stay here and wait to hurt someone else.
"In an hour, I have already contacted the witch. You will stay with her, and learn from her. Janet, you will need to stay behind. Adeline, you can go and get anything you need, some warriors will lead you there." Veldon said. Nodding slowly Janet helped me up as I walked to the door.
