Gasping, I got up abruptly. The pain in my body made me shrivel back into the sheets as I looked around me. I knew I wasn't home, this place was far too lavish for me.
I held my throat as bile shot up my esophagus making me throw up all over myself. I coughed and bent over as my stomach did summersaults. I could hear rushed footsteps coming towards the closed door, but I thought on instinct and moved my hand so that a desk went flying into the door. Making it impossible for anyone to get in, without some force. I heard cursing and banging, but I flung a dresser also.
"My magic," I said shakily looking at my hands, they've finally come. But, why? Why after all this time, do they just surface?
"Open this fucking door!" I heard before I scrambled out of bed, ignoring the throw up that fell to my feet. My foot was a lot better, as the memories of my encounter with sexy smexy came back to me.
I looked around in panic as more voices were heard from the other side of the door. Looking to the left, I saw a balcony and ran towards it. I have to leave, I have to get out of here. This place isn't safe! I cried in my head as I threw the balcony doors open.
Glancing down, the panic rose to my throat, I had to be at least 100 feet up, there was no way I could get down without a broken bone. Looking back at the door, I jumped as it burst open. A livid man, who I realized was the one who broke my protection, stalked inside looking around like crazy. I tried to ignore the feeling of love, that rose through my body. I could not love this man, what is wrong with me? He looked at me, noticing me at the balcony as his eyes glazed over.
"Get over here," He said rather calmly. I shook my head and backed up till my back was pressed to the railing. Should I jump? Should I risk it? I remember a levitating spell, but if my magic was no good, then I would surely die.
"Don't you dare." He said obviously noticing me glancing down to the bottom. I reached my hand behind me and slowly chanted. Please let this work!
I gasped in shock as my body started floating, I almost cried out in happiness as I moved my body away from the balcony, letting me levitate over the ground. Please, please, don't let me fall!
I could hear a deadly growl as my arm was snatched, losing my concentration and balance I fell. The man held me by my arm as I dangled from the balcony.
"Please, just let me go!" I cried out trying to make him take his arm off me.
"I will never let you go." He said. I looked up at him in shock and registered what he just said. Never let go? Why would he keep me here?
I freaked out and bit his arm hard, losing him out of his concentration, as I started falling. I screamed and then stilled, a thought came to my mind, this is my chance to escape! I chanted quickly and my body again started levitating.
I stopped mid fall and screamed in happiness. I didn't know how to fly away quite yet, I never learned how to. I tried kicking my feet but I wasn't going anywhere. I tried concentrating and that's when I felt myself move a little. I held onto that power and I moved again.
"Get her!" I heard cried from below, as I started getting away. I wasn't moving that quickly, it took weeks for witches to learn how to master this! It amazed me that I could do it so easily. Maybe I could contact my grandmother and ask her?
Pushing those thoughts away, I concentrated on getting away. I pictured my house, and all of a sudden I was soaring through the air, going at a speed I didn't even think was possible. I held my breath as the wind was ripping me like crazy. This was crazy!
Looking underneath me, I saw wolves chasing after me, looking up to follow me, I needed to lose them. I turned sharply and made a dash towards another part of the woods, turning my head slightly I stilled, looking at the castle a few miles away from me, I gasped. 'This isn't any werewolf' I thought. Even though I didn't have that much knowledge on those creatures, I knew that they lived in packs, and there were obviously ranks in the werewolf world. I wasn't an idiot, even a moron could guess that this werewolf pack was powerful, but just how powerful I didn't know. But my best guess was that they weren't messing around! When they catch me, I'm dead meat!
Picturing my house again, my body lurched forward and I again flew at an inhumane speed. I had lost the wolves miles ago, but I couldn't help the nagging feeling that I was still being followed. I would have to run, leave this continent if I had too.
I sighed when my house came into view but huffed when I realized I didn't know how to land. Imagining myself landing my levitating stopped and I grabbed onto the air as I plummeted down. I braced myself as I banged into a bunch of bushes in my front yard. Getting up, I noticed that my wound had opened up again. I winced at the sight of it, then walked into my house.
I couldn't help but gag at the smell of my house. Something must have died in it. I realized too late that my "dinner" must have burned outside. Galloping to the backyard, I gagged at the site of the rabbits, they were extra crispy, and practically dust. The smoke died a long time ago, making me wonder for how long I've been gone from home.
Grabbing some tongs from inside I pulled the rabbits and buried them, I knew werewolves had a good scent, they would find me eventually. But, I didn't want them to have a clue on where I was. Turning towards my house I practically broke the door as I went in search of my spell book. I knew there was a spell in there that could help me. I needed answers for why my magic came out, at the age of 19 of all years, and I needed them now. I knew I could contact my grandmother, something I've never tried before.
Grabbing the spell book, I flipped through it and looked at the spell, it was a risky one. If not done properly I could potentially blow up myself and everything within a 5 feet radius. Nodding to reassure myself, I grabbed my gems and walked outside, I spent 15 minutes laying them out around my property before I started. Looking at the spell, I breathed in deeply before casting it. I prayed subconsciously that it would work, hoping that the magic I had moments ago would still be there, and not trying to jinx myself.
I watched in amazement as a clear wall started cocooning my property. I thought back to the naked man that broke my spell last time. He was quite powerful, is he what they call an alpha? Possibly.
"This will keep me safe for a few days," I reassured myself.
