Moaning slightly, I twist around trying to get comfortable.
Clinging onto the warmth from behind I snuggle further into it.
I smiled when I felt big hands caress my waist as a low voice mumbled into my hair.
"Kayden." I said twisting in his arms. How I ended up here I didn't know.
I couldn't remember anything, the only thing I remember was transporting here.
"Where are we?" I asked clutching my head as a pounding headache moved around me.
"We're in my room." He said grabbing my shoulders and guiding my head back onto the pillow.
Groaning I look around trying to contemplate how and why I was here. So far I had nothing.
"Ask questions later. Just rest for now." He said tiredly as he reached behind him and handed me a glass of water.
"You look tired." I commented sipping the water. He smiled and my heart caught in my throat, that was so beautiful.
"I had to keep holding a certain person down in their sleep, cause they kept wanting to twirl around." He says running a hand through his hair.
"Me?" I sputter handing the glass back to him.
"Yes you, now go back to sleep. I'll call the doctor and tell him you're awake." He says getting up to leave.
"Wait." I call out to him reaching my hand for him to take.
"You should sleep, I feel fine now." I say noticing the prominent frown and bags under his eyes. He looks like he hasn't slept in days.
"I'm fine Adeline." He sighs running a hand down his face. Not believing him I motion for him to get back in bed.
He complies after some contemplation and lies down next to me. Smiling I join him as I lie down as well.
"Can I hold you?" He asks waiting for my permission.
"Yes." I breath out as his arms wrap around me, and pull me closer to him.
He breaths through my hair and sighs deeply. Rubbing his back I wait for his breath to calm down before taking his hands off me. Getting up carefully I quietly get off the bed. Staring back at his sleeping figure I walk out of the room.
Now to find Janet. I could remember everything, and at this moment every single stupid and idiotic remark I made yesterday comes back to me so hard I cringe.
"How could you say things like that?" I scold myself. Not only did I perv on Erik but I perved all over Kayden. I don't think I'd be able to face either of them anytime soon. After Kayden wakes up I'll make sure to stay out of his way.
I was still angry and upset at him for killing Angela. But nothing I would do or say would bring her back. I would figure out why he did it, but for now I needed to find Janet. I wanted to know why I acted the way I did, and why I keep fainting every time I use my magic.
"Janet?" I call out into the empty corridor.
"Luna Adeline!" A small voice calls out to me. Turning sharply I notice a small figure rushing towards me.
"Yes?" I ask as the person gets closer. I noticed it was one of the workers and smiled. She reminded me of Angela.
"Luna, you shouldn't be out of bed. The Alpha won't like that, would you like me to take you back to his room?" She asked. Shaking my head "no" I motion with my mouth to be quiet.
"He's sleeping, I was just looking for a girl names Janet. I was wondering if you've seen her. Oh and um... Erik, the old Beta I assume." I say scratching my head. I really needed a shower.
